any experience how much purchase history for a normal subdate and a hulk?
i don't think there's a magic figure, some will say they see what kind of brands you buy etc. but if you buy a datejust, confirm can get with time. also depends on how much the sales person want to push for you. because with those models they need to 'apply' to head office where there's a team that will then decide whether you should get that allocation or not

Anywhere to authenticate these days during **?

No Shop will do it now, unless u illegally meet up with those personal watchmakers at their place to open caseback and verify now. Need to pay additional premium because the watchmaker also taking a risk. (Later caught who pay $300?) :o

Checking for servicing a old 16610 old sub.. What are the instruction to give to Rolex to retain the value as much as possible?

1) no change dial, hands, bezel etc
2) no polishing

How about internal parts?

I think internal parts can proceed to change, I can imagine the wear and tear of a 20-30 year old watch. My thoughts la.

why would chiu wan to retain sum1 else’s history on teh watch unless ish chiur own watch or passed down to chiu by family...most vintage collectors are speculators tats why they emphasise on unpolished etc if franken they can’t make $ riaos...ish not so much about maintaining teh watch in its “original”

ish rike most peepur buy now for “value” juz bcos vintage collectors say so tis tat....imagine a old Kermit was sold to chiu and unknowingly chiu bought it and found out tat it belonged to sum sick criminal... realising it will chiu want to let RSC polish teh bracelet, change teh bezel and make it all new again or chiu prefer wearing a bad piece of history ?

or another simple example...sum 1 sell chiu his 16610 cheap but tell chiu he just dropped it into the toilet bowl wif full of sai...will chiu wan to have teh bracelet and case and lugs etc all polished nice by RSC, change watever bezel and interior parts or chiu prefer to wear it as it ish wif his sai history to retain its rich vintage value :D
