I think I go actually look into it before (Chub?) then after all the costing and calculation based on the watch coverage. I think better go rent a safe box in cisco or bank cheaper.

X-small size should be fine to just store the watch and paperwork. Box just store at home.

I did some brief research previously, even for safe deposit boxes, the items within are not insured, so I am not sure what the point. Yes it’s probably quite difficult for people to break into the bank, but at the same time not very reassuring to hear that if **** happens it’s on me rather than the bank/security service

I don’t think their form of getting FB praises are to attract new clients? As far as I understand, their clients are usually people who are introduced by the pre-existing customers. For walk-in customers, they will just give very patronising responses and won’t even hint about all the bundling and the plp stuff. I think it’s just to make them seem popular so Rolex will be happy to continue with them. Or… it’s really just to stroke the boss’ ego
Correct, most of their new clients are referred by existing regulars. Their existing regulars will tell the new clients they refer to that its better to write “letter of appreciation” and tag the boutique / owner / SA when they buy a watch each time from them. Its mainly done to capture the attention of the owner. The owner has preference to allocate customers who are more active on social media in thanking them. This is what I heard and not from my own experience. The boss is quite a drama queen and enjoys the limelight a lot

That is something I have also read about them. If true, it is indeed quite baffling from running a business perspective. If anything, their behavior turns me away from wanting to pursue a relationship with an AD.

TBF I’m sure there are decent ADs out there (Damienic bro seems to have a great relationship with his) that don’t require you to break into sing and dance after every purchase and worship the ground they walk on. And if one is wiling to bundle with other pieces for the ones they actually like, good for them. Personally, my pride just don't allow myself to buy from an AD where despite spending tens of thousands, I still have to angkat their entire operation on social media and be treated like they are doing me a favor. Just a watch bro.

Probably for casuals or people new to the watch game those posts would make them seem more attractive. i dont fault them for trying to stand out against much larger competitors but at least get your customers to pick what to shout home about lah. it's just cringe when they exalt you for tudor classics when these are selling at significant discounts on carousell.
They want to feel that the customers who picked up those Tudor classics likes those watches a lot too and is not being reluctant to purchase them. The clients who bought them has no choice but to “act“ that they loved those watches very much, otherwise it might jeopardise the “journey” with them.

It’s really self deceiving. Some of these Tudor watches are pretty much unloved and unsellable. But the boss wants to believe that they are valuable and maybe even the buyers want to deceive themselves that they are buying something worthwhile in the process of bundling

Ya I think paying a compliment by choice is very different from being told to write disgusting things on social media. Will be difficult to forgive myself for that 🤣🤣🤣

that's what is confusing. people in the watch game won't be hoodwinked by such antics what. even rolex should also know the games their ADs play, encourage it even. and if they are not doing this to attract customers new to the watch game, why go through all that show and tell?! really ego trip sia. screams of over compensating.

My dad got a dj36 from them in 2019, when he subsequently asked for a sub I think he was simply laughed at, period. They really just care abt the plp crowd, they don’t give a hoot abt old customers unless I suppose the super heavy spenders

Can I ask, what made u choose 15500st over say 15202st (assuming you don’t already have both)?
15202st no feel. had it before.
no second hand, everyone is buying just because it GG og design, that's about it.
too thin for my liking, not much weight, bracelet abit nua

I see, thanks for sharing this. Seems like 15500st is a more solid watch then 👍🏻

Also it’s a small world, I do have some friends who are in there and are fervent khh supporters, so also don’t want to make things awkward. But it’s interesting that they stoop that low 🤣🤣🤣

Strangely for a watch that does not have quick set date, it seems over-hyped however AP played their scarcity game so well that the new model 16202 probably need at least $2m purchase history before get allocation. Guess what’s the alternative??

Guess everyone have their own ideals and ways of showing appreciations and these give them hope and probably help them to polish their essay writing. May be a win-win situation. How many of us would prefer a false compliment than constructive criticism even though the latter is better for our soul..
