Patek salons only in Europe. No chance for me to visit, unfortunately.
I still like how VC boutique works, take name and treat everyone who stepped into the boutique the same.

i got my dual time black 2 months after i put name at the boutique thinking i will never get it from them anyway.
fast forward close to 2 years, they actually called me up and i went to purchase and sold my preowned piece away at a loss

Besides trying on watches in the Geneva salon, anything else different or special? Am in Switzerland now, would be glad if there’s any info or tips fr anyone. Went to bucherer Lucerne to check out Rolex cpo, they only displayed like ten-ish watches, expected more

Ya a 40mm explorer 2 going for 11500 chf sounds like a lot to me although I dunno enough about the range and the nuances. 116520 going for almost 30k chf

Ya. The Rolex AD at level 2 of bucherer told me level 3 got some nice pieces of Rolex cpo and assured me that ppl exaggerate the high prices. But wtf seeing is believing

i wasn't sure about owning a VC back then but having tried my friend 3 hander, looking at the finishing and all. eventually i feel i should have one and i will enjoy wearing one.
so basically
feb 2021 - went to check out the dual time black and silver at the ION boutique. it's a 3 months wait with 50% deposit. Blue is about 6 months. (i wasn't interested in the blue at all, doesn't speak to me)
i was thinking ok, so it's available, let me wait it out and see how the year goes for me.

fast forward, Oct 2021, i wanna put deposit for the black (my birthday month so wanna get something nice). was told it's a 3 - 5 years wait, god damn it. put my name nevertheless at MBS and ION (using 2 different numbers)
Dec 2021 - thinking that waiting 3-5 years is dumb, went out to buy a preowned piece at slightly above rrp. then the price skyrocketed during the peak, didn't sell it, kept it.

March 2023 - the SA i spoke to MBS texted me (i never once asked in that period if anything is avail) saying it's ready for my collection. went ahead to sell my preowned piece and got mine from the boutique at MBS, so now i am a VC client.

April 2023 - ION called me if i wanted the dual time (if i know you want, i can push to you) wasted. rejected liao

right now, nothing else in VC interest me, those that i might want are over my price bracket. lol

Nice sharing and interesting to know of your VC journey and how it got started.
i took too long to decide (in terms of putting my name), basically contemplating it since Q3 last year and only visited the boutique on Sunday. Haha, wasted, could have come to you if I had known you already got it in March 2023 and in April, ION also got one for you. Your actual wait seems to be 1 1/2 years for the Dual Time black. The SA at VC MBS told me the number of people putting their name for the Overseas had spiked greatly in 2022 till now, so I think I can expect to wait at least double the time you waited for it ie 3 years.

What do you think of the Overseas Chronograph Panda-look-alike?
My friend likes the Historiques full yellow gold. Haha

They got some interesting limited edition pieces, for eg the Buste of Auguste, but the price of that would be insane and way above what I can pay.

I find it does grab attention esp the fluted bezel. But for sales job idk should be ok lol.
