Between Brightime and Watch Exchange, I think the former has a better overall service la. The only gripe I have is Brightime is they very reluctant to let me try the models I wanted. Totally understandable cause they didn’t know I was a serious buyer at that point of time. I hope that will change for me since I already got one piece from them haha.

Perhaps they don’t let you try is because it’s bnib?

I think, imo, having a purchase history may not get us YM too ba? Most AD want us to bundle… haha

unless we had bought non Rolex as part of the purchase history without bundle, then maybe AD can allocate a sport model..

Haha ya Watch Exchange is trying to give the AD-esque experience I guess. They try to make every customer who’s dropping money on a Rolex feel like satki and accomplished haha.

Brightime no frills. Walk in ask what you want and walk out haha. Just saw a guy walked in with his wife and kids, asked for a TT Rootbeer and walked out within 15 mins. Most first timers want to be pampered getting their first Rolex so maybe they’ll favour Watch Exchange more.

Nope I was looking at preowned pre ceramic Subs and the 114060. They never told me I can’t try it directly. They said something like oh they all wear similar and such when I asked them if I can try them.

The YM42 Titanium I was told would be of limited release. Very very few pieces per boutique will receive and hence the criteria to get one from AD would be high and one can expect to pay a large premium over retail in the grey market as well

so interesting that Rolex plans for such limited production and people need to be in the know. A regular guy who thinks it’s nice and walks in to ask for it will be arm chioed big time, but how is he to know

Every week my colleagues my company selling a few rolex but they all in the US. Last time biz trip only managed to buy one back. I think overseas much easier to get. Singapore too many millionaires

I mean yes it is rather lame but I understand that they can't be always attending to people who are just wanting to try for fun. I wish this isn't the case but that is how it is... I have come to terms with it. I was wearing a Nike hoodie and joggers so not atas enough hahaha. Maybe he thought I wasn't serious buyer that day.

But once I told him I wanna get the pre ceramic he was willing to let me try the 114060 when I asked again. I mean I really wanted to see which one sits better on my wrist before dropping $13k+ haha.

Ya agree. I asked WP last time for their bundles, they only gave until Starbucks. Gmt no need to try, Daytona they armchioed me. Think this YM42 plat at least gmt level. But maybe just ask for fun at WP lol
