I think white gold should be most in-demand and expensive because WG looks closest to stainless steel and hence easier to wear without the dreaded uncle look.

Not a lot of people are comfortable or look good in yellow or rose gold watches.
People will also think white gold looks almost the same as stainless steel, why pay such a difference for something so similar lol

Just like ss pepsi vs wg pepsi, the difference in outlook is only the dial. But the price difference is almost 40k. Though once you wear it, the feel is totally different.

Planning to get a DJ 28 or 31 (Stainless steel) at a local AD. Any idea how much that will help towards getting a sports series from them. Looking at "less hot" SS sports like airking, explorer 1, milgauss

i think exp 1 or airking probably no need to buy anything to gain any xtra chances. just go put your name down and wait for a while.

try those rws or mbs rolex maybe got a better chance.

I see. The 28mm or 31mm will be bought regardless. I just want to leverage it if possible to help get some harder to get models that I want. How far can I "push" with my request in your experience? Submariner, Explorer 2, GMT?

count your lucky stars if they can give you a explorer 1 with just 1 purchase.

my friend bought a 31 datejust for his wife in late sept.. in the shop to chat with the SA for 1 hour+ about watches, then he ask if it's possible to get milgauss, got his milgauss last week.. so now he ask how about Sub ND, the ad told him got chance next yr.. according to him and what i know, this SA always give his best to fulfill customer req if it's not over like daytona or kermit..

milgauss, airking... just try your luck call and you might be lucky. the interest list for these are almost zero.

Try lucky plaza, watch palace... i remembered they have on sale...

no AD name, but owner name still be written on it.

Ermmmm...no wor...when I got my DJ, my AD just simply whipped out her HP which was connected to a special black colour dongle, point n shoot the card to activate the warranty.

After she done, she show me the screen indicating the warranty had been activated. After I acknowledged, she stamped the date on the card, wait for the ink to dried, put inside the leather card holder n that's all liao leh.

I got asked her no need my name mah? She replied now new warranty card no need, the only item that needed my name was the paper invoice.

Not very old, but I only see 1 person wear Rolex airking in my life, never see ppl wear explorer 1 or milgauss in real life. Unless one really love these 3 models, better don’t get man.

Maybe you can look at datejust models? Some 41mm in my opinion can pass of as ‘sporty’ too.

Lol, those that you named are the understated pieces by rolex not everyone wants to be showy by owning subs/Daytona etc

I actually like one of the pieces for the "back story". Have a strong connection to me personally. So I want to get it, especially since they are abit "unpopular" so I scared discontinue next year
