To be precise, it was a 45% loss I experienced for that Hublot piece. Bought it at 10.8k after discount (there is still discount for Hublot that time but now no more discount) and I sold it via grey dealer as consignment piece at 6k.
I am surprised there is still buyer for grey Hublot

True, no right or wrong. It’s really the needs and preferences of the individual. Pepsi has always been one of the models of Rolex I loved the most. I like SD43 as it has greater presence for a diver’s watch (more so than the black Sub) and I think my wrist size is ok to wear it. A 43mm Rolex sports is the biggest size I will wear. I will not go for the Deepsea 44mm
Yeah man. Make me drop sub off my list for now. Lol. But i love the bluesy. So prob chance allowed i will buy one and wear too. Hee.

Different folks different preferences. Some prefers to get their hands on what they like as quickly as possible, as you have rightly put it, why wait? It is also true that time and tide waits for no man. For me, I will just wait, maybe it sounds crazy, I think there is also an element of fun and excitement with that waiting.
If waiting makes you excited. Then good for you. Lol waiting kills the excitement for me

can I ask which patek model are u aiming?
The Annual Calendar 4947. I highly suspect that this would be the only watch I will get this year, maybe only in July-Sep. After that it will be a 9-12 months wait for Daytona Panda or Aquanaut, depending on which comes first

Have, if it’s cheap enough, people will buy.
for eg, 6k for a Hublot watch retailing at 12k and 10.8k after discount? the first buyer have taken bulk of the hit in value for the buyer who gets it in the grey market.

Any love for sky dweller? I think it is a mechanical marvel.
The interest in skydweller from the public has gone up in the last 2 years. My friend was nearly promised the black or white SS piece without any additional purchase but alas, in late 2021, the AD told him he is no longer able to get him the Skydweller without any other purchase. She told him that more and more enquirers for skydweller recently that mgmt have decided that it needs to be allocated only if there is a purchase of another watch to go with it.

Friend working in AD also no use. That “friend” will not be able to allocate any Rolex model without the buyer fulfilling the “pre-requisite”. A friend of mine was the nephew of the boutique manager I buying from and even then, he can’t get any allocation as he like as any allocation of sports model would have to go through mgmt approval. She can’t use the reason that the buyer is her nephew to submit for approval.

I believe we're having the same SA judging from the posts haha and alot of members here are her clients too, my wife collected her 7300 olive last month and i'd given up on nautilus since the bar is so high now atm
and starting to appreciate their dress watch as some looks sporty too
Agrees that patience plays a very important part in the purchasing journey , if we can't get what we want just look forward to the new release yearly there bound to be something that'll caught our eyes
Lolol your SA speak teochew one right

I order Rolex 126710blnr haha. Still haven’t got it. They say next week

For Batgirl, u will probably need to spend more than $15k at the AD on Hublots… selling will lose u $6000. Add the RRP for a Batgirl Jubilee - total cost $21k.

Tradenation cheaper than $21k?
