The SA I work with is not senior - in fact he was a trainee when I met him - but he was able to get me what I wanted. The important thing is to show them that you are a genuine watch collector and you are willing to buy a few pieces to get to what you want. For better or worse, that's the reality nowadays and if you're not willing to play the AD game, then it's better to get from resellers.

BTW, I was at VC and the SA there who was fairly junior said there is no PWP model there, just register interest and you will be placed in a queue system to get your piece. Seems too good to be true, so wondering if anyone could comment on this?

VC there is a v gd SA at MBS. v straight talking/sincere...v nice, invited me to their temp location at sentosa cove to see see rook rook as they are based there while store under reno.

Agree, it is more frequent now compared to 2020-2021 but also not every 2-3 weeks.
I heard Cortina sells to watch influencers without bundle or journey requirements.

How I research price is I first compare all the Brand New In Box (BNIB) prices, watches dated recently. The price variance should be minimal. This should give you the best benchmark of Grey vs Retail for brand new.

This is for non-Rolex watches. Rolex watches have a lot of dedicated sites that can see and observe prices across the world.

Next, then I look at used ones, this is where the price variance can differ greatly:
1) Older date, cheaper
2) More scratches, cheaper
3) Some more desperate than others to sell

Very unlikely. Most likely is already owned a piece of the black or white and then wear to collect the other piece. Or like you say husband and wife but most likely is one of them already got the allocation before hand and just went down to collect the other one. HG don’t allocate two pieces of the same model at same time to the same customer

just rem SA doesn’t necessarily tell 100% truth as they want to manage chiur expectations and surely many peepur will getch jealous and sour…ish notch a husband and wife account thingy but let’s just say tat atb ish a big spender…more than chiu can think of and SA dunch nid to explain or share why she can getch a pair together…bcos most of teh existing customers probably can’t handle teh hard truth

chiu are wrong sad to say many still believe their SA and getch lead on….there are just those filthy rich and big fish which they cannotch afford to lose so they getch probably wat chiu think common customers think ish notch possible

I still think it is unlikely, if it happens, let’s just say they are filthy rich spenders, probably blowing 200-300k on grand complications purchase at same time, allowing the AD to make certain exceptions. It’s not wrong anyway for HG to treat customers with VIP status a little differently.
I’m not blinded by my SA or anything but I would say I know quite well how they run the whole thing. If it’s allocation of two SS Daytonas at same time, it should be unusually big spenders that can qualify for it. No offence to you as well, you only passed by and wasn’t in the conversation when it happens and you do not know the Atb personally, so what makes you feel so sure it is two SS Daytonas allocation at same time? Please tell me something I do not know or convince me how you found out about it even though just passing by. Please don’t tell me it is purely your own conjecture

You don’t have to convince me indeed. The only thing I’m curious is that you went to such an extent to try and convince me and another guy that it’s a double allocation and then suddenly say that you do not need to say more when being asked to shed more light on what are really very reasonable doubts from me.

Firstly, let’s just say that my SA do not need to explain to me with full transparency on how they conduct the business. She was willing to share quite a bit with me, sometimes even more than what she is allowed to share and for that I’m very happy that she is very upfront with me and value me as a customer. Some of the info are like sharing with real examples of flippers who have been caught and then blacklisted by THG. I think not many would share info like this with customers. But with that, I would also say that I do not expect my SA to tell me everything. She and the exco definitely also reserve full rights to withhold certain sensitive information from me. if her bosses decide to give special treatment to certain VIPs who are able to spend say 6 figure sums on watches at one go and not just in a calendar year and they want to recognise their support with a double allocation, I think it’s not wrong at all. If she doesn’t want to tell me even if I asked, its perfectly alright with me, why should I be upset or feel that she is not being honest with me? No, not at all, as I‘m already very happy with the information she have shared with me thus far during these years with her. In fact, I don’t think I would put her in a spot by asking if there was a double allocation on 16 Sep to the same customer. I will leave it at that, whether it did happen or not.

I believe there are many such cases out there.

Certainly, those are people with certain kind of connections with the hierarchy which they always reserve the rights who they want to sell to. Nobody owes anyone an explanation of who gets it and who doesn’t. So yeah, do I really care whether my SA tells me who are those that can get double allocation and who can get without purchase history, nope I don’t. As long as I can still get what I want and being treated right, will just continue.
