True. What would be your considerations and your “point”? Would be good to learn from your perspective as a seasoned collector
I have collected watches for the past 9 years, after having 19 rolex and patek in my collection now, I find that property is still the best asset.

for watches, it is like putting your spare cash there as watches don't generate returns until they are sold

Watches are expensive toys. Not asset. Doesn't generate any returns at all during the tenure of ownership. Only generate fun.
If you sell it, you might even lose money.

That's what i preach to people.
Buy what you like, wear liao, feel good. If sell, earn is good, don't earn or lose money, think of the fun you have with it. All will be good.
Well said. Please don’t buy into the hype and treat watches as an investment asset. If earn money, it’s a bonus. If not, you still had fun wearing it.

Personally I don’t even want to ever sell my watches. If I ever need to sell them for cash, I think I must have really messed up.

Yes, not treated as investment, but good to know if **** hits the fan, you can trade it for something cuz it still has value. Of course, you dont want **** to hit the fan la.
