Lovely goals!

Just curious, for the AD u r going to, do u have to buy those unattainable watches if u want to buy all this popular models?

My friend told me for emperor, after he got a sub date (bought DJ ladies and 1 tudor), he need to buy more watches if he wants a 2nd sports model i.e. pepsi.
Same situation at emperor right now. I am hoping to get a Batman, but got hinted that I need additional purchase(s) to qualify.

I guess if you've another watch other than the sports model what you want to buy, and if that AD has it, it helps. Otherwise just go grey.

I am considering either going grey for the Batman, or maybe trying to qualify at the AD, since I am keen to get a Tudor bb54 as a daily (I gave up on the sub ND since I already have a SD43).

hdb the best!!!
Actually if you think about it, if those people got money (and there are many Singaporeans considering the % of Singaporeans getting new launches), they flip private property a few times over already, assuming they buy new launch and hold for 3 years to avoid SSD. Whereas HDB BTO you take a few tries, maybe 1 year you try and get on your 4th time, you wait 3-4 years for the house to be finished building, wait another 5 years to MOP and then flip the house for 40-50% gain over 9-10 years.

That’s the ideal world..it’s not that simple. Some developments are hard to sell and end up they hold and rent out.. few hundred k profit.. stock market faster. Can settle in months with big capital..

I got HDB BTO from en-bloc (Buying old resale hdb that was announced for en bloc). Fulfilled the MOP and sold it for some profit. Then bought one private, flip it for profit and got private again for self stay. After this, no more. Kept moving house in the last 15 years, I also tired and my mother is in advanced years, don’t want to stress her any more.

Mother used to chase in the past, but last 3 years plus or so didn’t. She developed quite serious orthopaedic issues during the pandemic, requiring 3 operations, the last being a knee replacement Q1 last year. She is depression prone as well. I got to take care of her in her advancing years, attending to her daily needs (she can still move and not wheel chair bound but need assistance). It is quite physically and mentally tiring and I don’t think I can juggle and multi task between job, taking care of her and having another relationship with a view of getting married. Have been single for many years and with what happened recently, I more or less quite used to the thought of perhaps not getting married. Or only perhaps looking for companion after my mum passed on? I don’t know...I’m quite alight with my current situation....don’t exactly feel lonely..

when one gets old and with no companion in future, life might get meaningless even if one has a good career and money
