In my honest opinion, putting those so call sticker on watch already kills the aesthetic of it's appearance. Firstly it's way overpriced for this stickers. At best less than $5 for the production cost. Secondly, sticker will lose its adhesive overtime from the humid weather here. Edges will have airgap which then moisture contaminated and turn the area with spots of dirt's which overtime stain on the bracelet . 3rdly, stickers can't get in contact with water. So end up replacing the entire set of new sticker.

Life is too short to think about scratches. At most go 3rd party do light polishing. No one will ever know the difference

First paragraph I 100% agree
Second paragraph, can tell difference but regular people can't.

Is it confirm that a polished watch resale value will drop once dealer detect that it has been polished? Say a watch not polished but has fair bit of scratches on it vs one that is polished and no more scratches?

I can only say it straightforward that some but not all find bits of flaws to bring down the price of discussed price. Will ask if polished, and if u admit, they will try bring the price further down. But then when they listed in the market will not declare polished n price higher for widen profit margin .Unless the polishing pattern is so obviously shifted etc, anyone can tell too. But in most cases, anyone will not go into this micro details.
Next other excuses to bring the price down is the link screw head. Obviously screw driver tip contact with the screw head will create micro dent or chipped if u going to analyze through a loupes x20 or x50 magnification.
I can only say a handful can actually identify if it when through polishing process, thus polished watch will still be lower due to not in factory settings

not really. dealers polished most watches unless the watch is very mint or new then they don't bother

Lol … I rmb last time here got say before. Use simi cloth can remove light scratches?
Cape cod cloth is for polished surfaces only. Do not use it on brushed surfaces. You will need to tape up the brushed surfaces before using the cloth.

Brush surfaces use 3M scotch brite. Pressure applied to brush surfaces must be consistent and straight.

Lots of YouTube videos on how to do it at your own risk though. Go get a pro polisher to do it will be safer.

It seems a little unnecessary considering its the part where you cannot see while wearing.

Heard many horror stories of people over polishing their watches themselves, why not wait till when you need a servicing to request for a polishing that is done all at once professionally.
