Got this thing left over after my relative funeral. He got no children. What version of Daytona is this? Relatively unused. Not a Rolex owner myself. Just happen to “inherit” one.

while it's hard to tell the material from picture, i notice the dial colour is of the white gold version, but overall i more inclined to think this is the SS version

Lol I smell bull... one doesn’t just grab a Rolex (yes even a datejust) from a funeral with no relatives snatching for it.

benefit of doubt first. since here is not EDMW. but no doubt pic koper (Glariel) are around everywhere. :s13:

edit: ahhh.........this looks close to platinum.

raising doubts liao

Any place to recommend?

I wonder what is the big hooha here. This thing does not have a minute repeater and it’s not a tourbillion.
Wow.. The price is the big hooha! Very nice watch

:s13: nice one.

white gold version easily 50K at retail. Platinum version price on request, which means high exclusivity.

Din expect to draw so much attention for a question lol. I already said I am not a Rolex person. To me, it does not have as much artistic value as a tourbillion so I won’t enjoy looking at it.

Probably bring down to Marina Square and ask the people there to verify for me. Can just keep for namesake

From the pic, it's a platinum Daytona. Market value for a used piece is $70-80K.

Just bring it to Rolex Service Centre at Tong Building and you will know immediately what you have in your hands.

rolex AD salesperson will not be qualified enough, RSC can perform authenticity check. or i have read somewhere RSC no longer does it for a fee (correct me if i'm wrong), but one can send in to perform a service check evalution and if RSC rejects servicing, then it is not authentic rolex watch.

Although it's subjective, I will like to seek your views between the following 2 DJ 41 which would be my next purchase. Currently have the GMT so next one would preferably be a DJ. The difference is the dial ~ index and diamond. Former is much easier to find.

Diamonds on a man's watch has a certain stigma attached to it. And it's not a positive one. I wouldn't touched the diamond dial-ed one.

But it's your money. You should just buy whichever one you keep coming back to.

jubilee bracelet look uncle-ish IMO, coupled with the patterned bezel.

why not also look at the 39 oyster perpetual? classier look since owned a rolex GMT

Points noted

Reason for shortlisting the diamond dial is because I bought 116234 blue diamond dial for wife but I thought why not a matching one for me as well. Lol. I wanted to try both on my waist but alas not easy to find let alone trying it on.

As for the jubliee. I always thought that it looks better on a non sports model like DJ and moreover, I already have the oyster so decided to go for a change
