The "problem" is that prices just keeps going one direction thus far - up

People start convincing themselves if they don't get one soon, they will end up eventually having to pay more, so they go ahead and get.

Anyway fact is that Rolex prices have indeed kept going up only.. just that in recent years the increases have gone crazy and availability far too artificially exclusive..

Lolx, Grey dealer put carousell this price, I went down and chat with them gotten another price which is lower. haha, they know alot of low baller so the pricing is to put those off vs those who are sincere.

Oh really? Hahah this one I didn't know cause I haven't visited any grey dealer before. But I believe the lower price is probably still a good 10K above the RRP I guess?

retail price yes, but 2nd hand and premium from grey is bound to drop during a recession. not sure if we will see sports models drop below rrp again

rolex just branding extremely powerful to retain its price.

i find grand seiko better but marketing lousy, therefore cant retain price.

their datejust is 1.4k more expensive than sg.
Datejust 41mm Fluted bezel.

they increased their prices.

that's retail. that's why china is going EU and SG to buy
