By the way, is AP watch really not that popular or welcome compared to Rolex? those AP ROO 26470ST that is 1 to 2 years old, what is a reasonable price to get it? As i cannot get any rolex sport model, think the next wise move is to jump to AP since the watch is very nice too. any comment? quite interested in the AP ROO 42mm

In fact, in view of the long wait for a Rolex, I also like AP but when I think the value drops 30% after leaving the shop, it makes me think twice despite I don’t have the intention of selling.

haha unlikely i will buy brand new, at most 1-2years old and if it is significant discount, then a BNIB. Yes, it drop 30% once leave shop but the ap watch is a lot more beautiful than a rolex. what worry me is the reliability of the watch. certainly do not want to keep sending for servicing

Pardon me for saying this.. but if you buy an AP, I'm sure you wouldn't be too bothered about the cost of servicing. It'd be more of the hassle of not having the watch with you and that you have to wait for the servicing to be completed not in days or prolly weeks.

I myself have waited for more than 2 years. I know the pain , the dreadful experience. I wanted to instil humanity in the society and do something that doesn't cost me since all I can is to go down to AD with the buyer , on the spot let him see it first hand and he pays for it. Done . I'm not gaining anything.. I just want to help.

But the forummer here ask me who am I? I'm just an old man trying to pass my slot to someone else since I have waited so long and finally gotten it. But he put it such a way , which I don't understand. I do good things and people judge me.have to come under fire .

I think that's it. After all it's just a 116610LN. I don't owe anyone a living.

I shall just call the AD later that I am giving up the slot .
You don't owe anyone anything. Your opportunity, your decision. Have a good day Bro.

Was presented a spider dial 16610, is this desirable? Wife says freaking ugly and say don't buy. Your thoughts?

My humble thoughts, even though I may be cursed and sworn at by somebody, are that vintage spider dials need to be cracked randomly in a nice semi-random way, closely resembling a pattern and not randomly randomly like your example.

Or maybe I need glasses cos the smudge on the crystal makes it very difficult to tell

yea i agree just ignore these people, there are many of them in edmw too, these people are nasty because of pure jealousy that they cannot profit anything out of it.
since micgoh has the privilege to buy the watch, let him decide whether to give to any of the member here or give up.

There are a lot of huge egos here, and what's worse is they have lots of money to fuel their egos. So this thread is like their punching bag lah, in real life maybe they have no opportunity to express their egos...
