i've spoken to a few ADs.

if want sub no date, hour glass is the only AD you got chance if you dont have prior purchase history. any models above that, they need manager/director sign off. and even then, you might still wait a veryyyy long time and slim chance. but the slightest of chance is there. that's how THG works and they're the biggest, watch palace/cortina etc even harder dont need talk

long story short, if you want a sports model, buy a datejust for your father mother girlfriend boyfriend husband wife, build a relationship then slowly you can get. otherwise, just pay market price

i have my name on Daytona since the launch in 2016 on hour glass and cortina. I have prior purchase history with hourglass. 2019 already nothing.

so sua la.

THG, you buy 100k worth of other watches like zenith etc, magically the daytona appear in 1-2 days or on the spot

Then there will just be more quantitative easing. They already consider qe as a conventional monetary tool even in normal times. Market is pricing fed cutting rates two times this year. This whole recovery was the product of artificial stimulus, and more dosage will be needed during the next slowdown..
Hence luxury items are all flying off the shelves, too much liquidity. If all the central banks can do is to reflate, then chances are tangible investments become the best bet.


Otherwise I would also camp like you for the next recession. Just don't overlevered and buy ones that are undervalued and continue monitor what the central bankers are doing
