ASUS TUF B450M Got VRAM issues. Overheat easily.

Get the ones that can support Ryzen 9 3950x

Try to split your purchase to below SGD400 each shipping to save on custom tax on your newegg purchase or get locally via lazada, shoppee etc.

I am considering to get the ASRock B450 Steel Legend ATX board.

Better to get MSI mortar. Get the non MAX version if u want to save abit. Vram can support ryzen 9 x3950

max has out of the box support for ryzen 3rd gen while non max is not guaranteed. also, most sls shops nowadays only offer the max, and the price difference is quite minimal too.

Ryzen 3000 ready MBs should have a sticker on the box stating so.

This sticker was present on both my Gigabyte AX370 Gaming K7 boxes and the MBs had Ryzen 3000 ready BIOSes.

I don't know anyone who buy B450 will plan to upgrade to X3950? Even if it does run, the VRM will be working at its max.

There’s nothing extraordinary with the B450 Tomahawk – it has decent connectivity in terms of M.2, SATA and USB ports and the VRM implementation, while capable, is still entry-level in the context of the wider AM4 platform, even if MSI does well to offer a good-sized VRM heatsink.

The MSI B450 lines were the highly recommended mobos for low budget user, so much so that the price got artificially jack up. eventhough it lack many features, maybe because the budget MSI X570 mobo suck too much?

Anyway, if you gonna get mobo from Newegg sg, there are way better boards for slightly more. For example, the real budget board that could run X3950 without breaking a sweat--the ASUS Prime X570-P, can be had for S$214.

Or if you only running X3950 at stock but need WiFi 6, the Asrock X570 Steel Legend is S$243.

Honestly I would go for the cheapest 4x dimm memory AM4 board and Ryzen 5 3600 any day.

I think if budget is the main concern, there are cheaper model like Asrock B450m Pro--~$110 from Amazon SG--that could still support 3700x/3800x. Anyway, don't mind me, MSI mobo were never my fav after K7T Pro.

Online still work as per normal, just got Corsair Vengeance LPX delivered to me this afternoon, ordered on Apr 11th from Amazon SG. But the 3600 only just ship out few hours ago.

What would that be?

cheapest AM4 board with 4 dimms as I can upgrade memory if needed. Anyway gaming is your focus, gpu is the way, not high end cpu. Heck, even ryzen 5 2600/ 1600 AF works fine. It will not bottleneck the GPU.
