Upgraded my GFX card last month, from a msi 290x lightning to a 1070!

Told to wait for next gen cpu before upgrading!

Please advise!

Planning to change mobo + processor

or anything along the line!

im only interested in the 8700k processor :)

no budget, everything is welcomed!

should i go windows 10 ?

gaming on a must constant 144 fps (input lag)
games play : overwatch @ 1080p
no i cannot hit constant 144fps now on everything low, i know with my graphics card i should, my processor and ram usage i guess?

for some reason cannot reach OW in constant 144hz, everything low @ 1080p.
Doom max settings i can easily hit 200 fps, during battles 140-160ish.

i guess OW more cpu intensive ba.

during big fights 100-140 up down but always on the lower.

i also ask myself why? i sumpa cannot. last time i on 290x also same fps issues as my current 1070 gtx.
I thought upgrading the GPU will help me solve the fps, i repeat once again i play everything on LOW, i also get similar fps rate as my 290x on low.

so i seriously thought its CPU problem. since alot of people says that OW is a CPU intensive game.

see this thread : http://forums.hardwarezone.com.sg/h...-pc-need-constant-144hz-all-time-5677220.html

:(:(:(

if i can find solution to run constant 144 fps! i not changing mobo and cpu le~

initially i thought its really the cpu and ram.

Sorry, just realised you are using 144hz monitor so quite hard to simulate your scenario. Think should be normal, you should be able to hit 144fps on 144hz 1080p if using gtx 1080.

actually i highly doubt so.. cause i can run doom max settings at 160-200fps. i should be able to run overwatch on 300fps easily on all low. during training and spawn room, i can hit constant 144, i tried maxing it to 300 in options. yes i can hit constant 300 on training and spawn room @ low but not during fights.

i've seen people running with 970 gtx or 980 gtx on all low and hitting constant 300 fps, on twitch etc.

:( i also dno why

i just pmed and explained to some shop in SLS that i bought before, not gonna name them.

they are nice btw.

they told me that its impossible that my 1070gtx will not run at a constant 144 on low settings @ 1080, when 1060 can already hit 120ish fps on that settings.

anyone have any ideas? haiz.

input lag really sucks.

Buy a 128 gb ssd, disconnect all drive. Fix that new ssd into boot drive...get a win 10 USB image and install win10 follow by all other drivers and ow and see how. If still the same, then use back old drives to go back win7...that newly bought ssd can either sell away or use it for your own storage.
