Hi socrates, so how do u come back from Tioman to SG? Do they have bus ticketing booth there at Mersing where i can get bus ticket back to Larkin or SG? If have, do u roughly have any idea about what time the bus leaves? Thanks

From tioman to mersing I take the fast ferry which leaves at 7.30 am from Salang which will then go to a few places in Tioman picking passengers along the way. ( If am I not wrong the ferry leaves tioman at (7.30, 10.30am and 2.30 am) I reached Mersing at about 10.30 am. went to the R&B building just next to the ferry terminal where I bought tickets for the 11.30 am bus to Larkin in JB. Takes about 2.5 hours to get to LArkin. Ticket price is RM 10 or RM 8.80 depending on which company. Bus timings are 8.00am, 11.30 and 3.00 pm to Larkin or Singapore

Tip when you reach Mersing and as you buy your tickets to tioman , you can ask the ferry operators what time the buses or ferries operate. They are quite friendly and will offer you good infor.

hope this helps. Enjoy.

Yes I think it is good advice to buy the ticket back to larkin before going to tioman especially in peak times and if your group is big.

Any pictures to provide for superior rooms of paya beach resort.. I am thinking of booking their superior room. Any difference between their standard and superior... It seems like the superior rooms got no view..

Is there internet access over at Paya Beach Resort? If so, how much does it cost?

Thinking of bringing laptop there, wonder if it's safe.

Thinking of bringing laptop and DSLR there, but wanna keep them in room when going to snorkel.

Heard that the staff go into the rooms when the occupants are not around, so a bit worried.

Just my opinions,

Not too sure about price of bus from Singapore to mersing but definately far cheaper to take from Larkin to Mersing which costs either RM 8.80 or Rm 10.

bringing and keeping notebook to a hotel is a risk in any country of hotel, so it worth the risk? Why not jsut bring extra memory cards

It really depends on what u are looking for.

I just came back yesterday from Tioman and i am lucky enough to get 1 of the 3 standard rooms that has a sea view. The rest of the standard are all behind.

Paya is basically built on level ground unlike berjaya so its best u get the front ones facing the sea.

Been to Tioman many times.
Stay in a few resort.

But best i will recommend Bejaya.

I love it the most. Good resort to stay in.

Early morning nice low tides where you can find small fishes and crabs running around.

The snorkling trips are nice too.

FOOD is most importantly not too bad. =)

If you are looking for underwater cam, buy it in singapore. should be cheaper.

Would like to go again @ the end of the year. =) since the trip is pretty cheap

If you guys would like to look at the pictures i took in tioman with my family. you guys can pm me for the link. i will reply.
