Today can tryed 2 ISP uplink to this unit.
M1 & WC, both 1Gbps plans thru ONTs.

IMG-20240309-WA0021-2.jpg

GT10Pro max out only around 680-740 Mbps on Speedtest app.
Laptop QCA9377 max out around 340Mbps.
RTL8814AU about the same, 350Mbps.
Maybe go borrow a AX3000 USB 3.0 adapter try see any different anot.
I try go ask my corlick for a 10GbE adapter on Thunderbolt or TypeC. But I no Thunderbolt nor TypeC 3.2 nor any
desktop to plug a PCIE. Haha

Some weird behavior, I thought is my eyes playing tricks on me.

WAN 1 and WAN 2, the port assignment like reversed in the pics.

Physically :
WAN 1 is the GBIC nearest to the power socket and connected to M1.
WAN 2 is the normal GbE port, 4th from the power socket, connected to WC.

WC has no IPv6.

There's no option to change the DNS for WAN 2, this is only available for WAN 1, have not found any place to adjust WAN 2's DNS.

I chose the "high speed" option over the other
It does successful failover a bit slowly (unplugged the active WAN port that my device was streaming through M1) like somewhere within a min or so, switching over to WC.

@xiaofan

Thanks for the info.

I am not familiar with the Firmware features like Dual WAN in TP-Link China models.

On the other hand, if buying Xiaomi or TP-Link China models, maybe it is better to get China WiFi 7 now.

Chinese WiFi 7 router options (no 6GHz band, no 320MHz channel bandwidth, got MLO, 4096QAM, MRU, etc)

Huawei

Huawei BE3 Pro (1G port version, 512MB RAM): RMB399, not recommended as no 2.5G port
Huawei BE3 Pro (2.5G port version, 512MB RAM): RMB499

Xiaomi

Xiaomi BE3600 (2.5G port): RMB 299 (just announced) -- not recommended as main router since it has only 256MBRAM, okay as an AP
Xiaomi 6500 Pro (quad 2.5G ports, good for 2.5G plans): RMB699
Xiaomi 7000 (quad 2.5G ports, good match for 2.5G plans): RMB799
Xiaomi 10000 triband (dual 10G ports, maybe good for 10G plans): RMB1499

TP-Link:

https://www.tp-link.com.cn/product_cat_wifi7.html
TP-Link TL-7DR3610 BE3600, RMB 229, not recommended as no 2.5G port
TP-Link TL-7DR3630 BE3600, RMB 249 (single 2.5G port). not recommended as main router, okay as AP
TP-Link TL-7DR5130 BE5100, RMB 279 (single 2.5G port), not recommended as main router, okay as AP
TP-Link TL-7DR6560 BE6500 (quad 2.5G ports, good match for 2.5G plans), RMB 559
TP-Link TL-7DR7280 BE7200 (quad 2.5G ports, good match for 2.5G plans), RMB 1699
TP-Link TL-7TR13090 BE13000 triband (dual 10G ports, maybe good for 10G plans), RMB 2199

ZTE

ZTE BE7200 Pro+ (中兴问天BE7200Pro+, dual 2.5G ports, good match for 2.5Gbps plans) RMB 599

H3C

Matched up the Dual WAN with a Qualcomm 6e wifi card at 160Mhz, tested a bit and got the first 3 row results.
No wired 2.5Gbps to test.

Asia region is the one to chose to be compliant with local regulation.

CN is the default and usually with less TX power.

AU region gives extra TX power to have better wireless coverage.
