Can sic? Cheapest i see on JD 899 rmb.

Also why is XDR6060 twice the price of XTR7880? XTR is triple band while XDR is dual band lol.
Acwifi.net if you can read Chinese script.
Think you looking at xtr6080 ba.

Maybe having sfp, usb3A, usbC, 2.5GbE cost more?

Only thought of K66 as the alternative, 3 smaller footprint mesh. But since 2x xtr7880 is cheaper, my coverage requirements smaller also.

I think the TL-XTR8488 look much better, top up bit more for dual 2.5G port.

Was planning to purchase ASUS XT12 for smaller footprint. but this TP-LINK one directly reduces my expenses by half...omo

One level up from the XTR7880 model (AX7800 triband) will be the XTR8488 model (AX8400 triband) with faster CPU and better FW features. XTR8488 supports Docker which means you can do quite some advanced stuff using it (say Pi-Hole or Adguard Home, Wireguard VPN server, etc).

Too damn ex for my needs xtr8488 though feature set on fw is indeed more advanced and caters to enthusiasts.

Home user unlikely to utilize its feature set apart from the best friend mesh function n the (usb at most) I suppose.

Docker can do containers but again...
Tbh i dun know too many pple who extensively use iot or ifttt at home even.

Maybe I mixing wrong crowd lol.

Waiting for someone to buy TP-Link K66 and post thread with pics.

Hopefully using their sfp fibre for backhaul too, that would be a little more exciting

Now 知春晓电哥 no longer recommends any TP-Link China version router less than RMB600 due to the above reason (lower than the HW configuration and lowe performance after initial release).

He has the recommended following TP-Link router.

1) 600-1200 RMB (mid-end)
TP-Link TL-XDR6088 at around RMB899, dual 2.5G port (along with Xiaomi AX9000, ZTE AX5400 Pro and JD.com Cloud AX6600 Athena)

2) >1200 RMB (high end)
TP-Link TL-XTR10890 at around RMB2999 (along with Asus RT-AX89X, H3C NX15000, Xiaomi 10G router and Asus GT-AX6000)

OLT(NLT Fiber port)-----ONU-----Router

QB4hO3F.jpg

Yes I use Huawei OptiXstar MA5671A to be my customized ONT device. There are also similar Nokia and Hisense ONU which does similar job

The GPON ONU serves as a mini ONT/ONR device to do authentication and bridgeing. Singtel only authenticates user by LOID (Fiber broadband ID) and hardware SN (on the issued ONR). MAC is not required but I changed MA5671A's MAC to be same too.

Why such set-up:
1. to bypass Singtel ONR which defaults router mode, get rid of TR-069 and limited Gigabyte LAN connection
2. to free some weak current box space, no additional power supply required to ONU
3. supports GPON max bandwidth single port, Singtel 1Gbps plan gives 1.2Gbps/1.0Gbps DL/UL speeds. 2Gbps Plan also benefits with 2.1/1.25Gbps speeds.
4. SFP+ supports up to 10Gbps speed. (There is XGS-PON ONU from Huawei but it has quite higher temp and not necessary as the ISP issued onr is good enough)

There will be many new ONRs coming out this year with 2.5G LAN port like cheap VSOL V2802RH, and old but more expensive ZTE F7607p.

Also, the reason why Singpoare ISPs market their 2Gbps plan with 1+1Gbps connection is simply onr hardware limitation, they just lazy and mean to provide newer ONRs with 2.5G port since most people dont actually care.

Seems like you always overestimate the complexity of Singtel VLAN. All ONU device can pass through or set VLAN, no matter it is ONR or mini PON device. Setting up Internet and IPTV on MA5671A is simply copying numbers from issued ONR, Voice would be a bit harder though.
How did you get your LOID? Could not find mine from the Web UI.

Still no one buyed k30...

K30 = 3 units of TP-Link TL-XDR3050 Dual Band AX3000
K50 = 1 unit of TP-Link TL-XDR5450 Dual Band AX5400 + 2 units of TL-XDR3050 AX3000 mesh nodes
K66 = 3 units of TP-Link XTR5466 Tri-Band AX5400 mesh units (with 2.5G port)

Based on various reports, TP-Link often carries out cost down activties of the XDR3000 series which makes the performance (wireless performance and coverage) significant lower than at launch. So the reviewers in general do not recommend the XDR3000 series now. So it is better to avoid K30 (and even K50).

In any case, very few people are buying the routers from Taobao because of warranty concerns. Even if they take the risk and buy, they will tend to buy Asus brand since there will be no compatibility issues (Asus router China version has the same HW/FW as the local version, just with different country code and no local warranty). Some of the Asus router China models have significantly lower cost than the local version.
