I only took the red line sightseeing bus. Is the most popular route and most timeslots as compared to blue and green bus. So yes is crowded and have to wait for the bus in hot sun.

Depends on the attractions you want to see at the area.

Possible as there are some stations red and blue got transfer stops. Or split half day red, half day blue.

For blue I find the ice and wind caves worth a visit. But its end of the blue line. Not enough time
