Hi all,

I plan to go to Tokyo and Osaka during autumn (end Oct)

is it possible to squeeze both city in a 8d trip?

If so how can i plan my journey? I don't mind landing in tokyo and flying off at Osaka vice versa

40% shopping 30% eating 30% sightsee

it is possible, although i would suggest doing kyoto/osaka and tokyo as 2 different trip coz these places are far apart. it is expensive and time consuming to travel from tokyo to kyoto/osaka.
for 8 days, u can cover tokyo and visit some nearby places such as yokohama, kamakura and hakone.

if u wanna squeeze these places in one trip, maybe u can have 4 days tokyo, 2 days osaka, 2 days kyoto.
looks like u prefer more shopping and eating than sightseeing. so maybe u can base on 4 days in osaka and make day trips to kyoto. that way, u have more flexibility to swap kyoto days for osaka days in case u wan more shopping and eating

Tokyo has more shopping places so I'd suggest arriving at Osaka first before departing from Tokyo. 8 days is possible but a bit rush.

I'm planning for about 14 days trip.

Any suggestions?

Arrive at Narita Airport, transfer to one-way domestic flight to Osaka (stay 3-4 days), shinkansen to Fuji (stay 1 day), then back to Tokyo (remaining days), then depart for Singapore from Narita Airport.

I'm unsure whether the JR pass is needed for my case? Can help?
