M300 users

hi i jus bought my M300 for ard a mth but there have been probs surfacing.

1.My batt life reads 1hr at 97%

2.When i shut down at desktop, it will reboot again. I can only log off then shut down.

3.My laptop is also starting to gushing hot air out..


Can somebody help ???

hi to all toshiba sexpert,
brought a m300 a434 earlier on at comex..
try to find the bluetooth feature but dun seems to find it anywhere..
is this laptop bluetooth enable???...
is yes pls advise...

Press the function key(FN) which will show the menu and F8 to enable the bluetooth

2 more ways to enable/disable. Bring ur mouse cursor to the top of the screen,after a second the menus wil drop down.Point to F8-wireless n go to bluetooth n there u goes.

Alternatively,double click on the below network icon.Go to bluetooth n from there....:yawn:

alamak.... jus spotted 1 dead pixel on the screen.... shld i call up harvey norman as the lappy is broght from them on the last day at comex... or call up toshiba???

Is my Toshiba M800 Portege acting normally?

I charged for the first time 8 hours on Sunday. Then on Monday I started the laptop and noticed it had only half battery left!

After playing around with it, left only one third!!

Is this normal? I thought since I charged for 8 hours, it should be OK?

Also, the mousepad is DAMN hot, there's light on it. I find it quite stupid to have light at the mouse area. How to disable?

Bought at COMEX with the big Toshiba bag, is it bought from Harvey Norman?

The battery should be able to last for about 2 hrs<br>
To disable the light, goto Toshiba Assit->Optimize-> Hardware settings->Illumination to turn off.

I m using M200 Satellite that I bought 3 months ago.How to off the blue "Satellite' light as it is very glaring at night.???:s11:

Oops...there goes your Vista Recovery DVD and I bet you didn't create the backup DVDs, right?

Anyway, Just make sure that the WInXP disc you have inserted is bootable. Also, to ensure that the machine is booting from the DVD drive, right after you turn on the machine, hold on to the letter "C" until you've booted from the DVD-ROM. Alternatively, you can press F12 to call up the boot menu and use left-right arrow keys to select and ENTER to confirm.

i just bought m800 for a week! and after i cover my lid to let it go into sleep mode and i open the lid again, my com hangs! no matter i use the fingerprint to log in or the password log in, it will just hang... any one experience it b4? it was alright a week ago, now, crap starting to happen -.-

Hi guys,

I know this is long winded, but I love my almost-4-year-old Satellite A50 dearly. Never had to send for repair at all ! So please help me!

Everything was perfect until some water got spilled onto the keyboard:(
So I took out the keyboard to wipe away the small amount of water that was in there. Then some keys were not working, or when i press 1 key it gave 2 letters etc... then I formatted the hard disk.
After formatting, the keys became normal, except there seesm to be something wrong with the "Alt".
Everytime I start up, I have to use an external keyboard and press the "Alt" key a few times, otherwise it will be like the "Alt" is pressed down. For example, I press "F" and the File menu drops down. etc...

After a few days, the wireless become problematic. When I turn on the wireless, a blue screen with something like" Dumping physical memory......." comes up and have to shut down. This may come up immediately or sometimes after quite a while...

Is this a simple thing that can be solved by just changing the keyboard or is this a gone case??
Any advice is appreciated :D
