is now the eTNG app (to make payments via the app if topup in eWallet) popular there? I have installed the app but haven't verified yet.

Touch n Go (TnG) eWallet is widely accepted, even stalls in kopitiam there. Just ask them when you're making a payment, if you don't see a TnG eWallet QR code upfront. So far I've also scanned their Boost app, after confirming with them.

Some places like Daiso and Watsons will use their scanner on your app's QR code. Just have to double-check the amount once the payment goes through.

Anyone having problem in adding money to tng ewallet account recently? Previously can use local bank card, revolut, youtrip to reload but now none of these cards are working for me. I keep getting "suspicious activity alert" error when I try to reload. :(

Just wanna update - the NFC TnG card is selling like hotcakes up north. Once stock hits the stores it will be gone in 1-2 days. If you're lucky enough to visit a store with stock, you have to take a queue number from a machine and wait till your number gets called. Depending on the timing, you can wait from 20mins to even an hour. Best to go at 10am or whatever time they open. When you reach the counter they will ask whether you want 1 or 2 cards. Each card RM10, just pay and go, no need show IC/Passport. Top-up can be done by credit card at a dedicated machine in the store or if you have the TnG app even better. Don't even bother trying to buy at any of the MRT/LRT counters, they will instant tell you no stock. Die die must buy at petrol kiosk or dedicated retail stores.

This is the sign they put up at KL Sentral TnG retail outlet when they went OOS. Pic taken on 6th Apr.

Yes, it has been the case since they launched the card.
If you have the time and patience, go around different petrol stations and hunt.
If you have local MY address, just order online from TnG app and wait.

For people who don't have the time and need the card, buy at inflated prices on Carousell. After all, time is money and all the petrol wasted just to hunt for the card. Sad to say I fall into this group, bought at S$15 last time at Sinopec SG.
The NFC cards are really super convenient.

I think alot of peepur keep taking queue number at the store and buying as many cards as they can. 1 queue number + 20RM = 2 cards. I also did the same, lol
