I’m about to have 5 gbps XGSPON installed with 1 x EB810v + 1 x HB710. $45.37 per month all in ($0 upfront).

But the comments on this thread are worrying me.

Should I cancel my order and just go with SingTel?
Did you top-up to buy the additional EB810V? I thot 5Gbps plan comes with HB710 only?

Top-up $15.00 a month for additional EB810V. Otherwise it's $30.37 per month for the HB710 only.
But I'm going to amend the order and cancel the EB810V. Then I'll sell the HB710 that comes with it (should get at least $100 for it).
Then I'll use my gl.inet Flint 2. I know I'll only achieve 2.5 gbps with that yet it's a 5 gbps fibre connection - I'm fine with that.

Hi all. I tried searching the web, and using Starhub@123 and admin, but cannot seem to change my device password in the aginet app for my eb810v. Anyone has any advice?

I am currently logged in using a TP-link account

Just to share that my EB810v router wifi 6Ghz not stable and keep dropping so i called support CSO to refer to backend then next day they push down a patch remotely to resolve the issue. Good that I am using ISP router.
Hi, may I know what patch Starhub provided? Is it a new firmware? What is your firmware version now?

Try a reset?
I tried a reset and managed to set up my own password. However, my router is now facing frequent cutoffs and takes 3-4min for the networks to appear in my device wifi list again.
Should I being using access point mode or router mode etc?

If it's not a mesh, like this is the main unit then router mode so you can access all the settings and configs etc.
Otherwise, it should be using mesh/access point which the app/web should guide you accordingly.

The latest firmware for EB810v is 0.14.0.3.0.0 v608b.0 Build 240709 Rel.56868n, which means that it's been more than a year since they released this firmware. Anyway to complain to Starhub so that they don't abandon this model? We are "paying" for this router with our monthly subscription during the 2yrs contract!

Feedback to SH, the more users share, the higher chance the SH will work on it.

Still have issue with MLO not meshing and not being able to turn off MLO on the satellite.
Hopefully a new firmware will come soon to fix this

Call starhub and no help given , keep having disconnect , monitors for few days it seems EB810V keep going back to ch 44 and 160Mhz. Reboot and changed to ch 128 / 80Mhz no more disconnect.

After few days it will just auto change to 44/160Mhz.

I read that best is to factory reset the EB810V , any thing or what I need to backup other than the password? Not very tech savvy

Nothing much to backup since the router is pretty simple without any complicated settings needed IIRC.
Best to check through the settings and confirm yourself.

I also encountered the latter problem you described on my Singtel HB810. It was solved with a recent firmware Singtel released a few weeks ago.

Indeed Singtel is more transparent in terms of the FW updates.
https://www.singtel.com/personal/support/broadband/how-to-download-latest-firmware

Singtel HB810 FW download, latest FW version is 0.11.0 3.0.0 v6095.0 Build 250606 Rel.51388n.
https://www.singtel.com/personal/su...d-latest-firmware/TP-LINK-HB810-WIFI-7-Router

In this aspect, Singtel is a bit better than Starhub, at least you know the latest version available from Singtel.

That being said, TP-Link tends to be slower in terms of FW update for the Service Provider model. So the users of TP-Link EB810v should try to keep reporting issues to Starhub and hopefully Starhub can work with TP-Link to release new FW version.

Ya. EB810v formware not available to download. Can only depend on Starhub to push down.

At least Singtel releases a firmware every few months and is available to download.

That’s why i sold off my EB810v and got more HB810 to mesh.

Such updates may not be necessary, if necessary then Starhub will push down.
