Routers normally dont need fans to cool them down. My router inside my db box with the cabinet door closed with zero ventilation at all still working well after 2 years. Even i also praying my router to be spoiled but it still wont give up. in the end I gave up and sign a new contract with starhub and changed a new router.

I just want to use the USB port..ok..no need. Thks.

Don't need cuz is physics, hot air raises and it vent from the top.
No point getting a fan cuz TP-link router doesn't get hot unlike ASUS router.

just got a new eb810v. It came with all security settings (ipv4/ipv6 SPI firewalls, DoS, etc) turned off out-of-box. Shouldnt they be ON?

I just turned the firewalls and DoS on. For Dos, should all 3 filters be Low, Medium or High?
Update: nevermind. AI says can turn off.

Better to get Archer BE805 (TP-Link Consumer model) if you have not got the EB810v (TP-Link Service Provider Model).

However, if you have already got EB810v, then it is okay to use it with M1. Not so sure whether you can get firmware update easily or not. I have not seen recent report of EB810v firmware updates outside of Starhub (and maybe MR) network.

I just terminated my starhub tv and now left with the broadband and home voice. They don't have any recontract promo so now thinking about changing to m1.

Starhub is pretty good in terms of recontract. Just talk to them.

Or you can sign up as a new user but the problem is that you may not be able to retain the digital voice number.
