If you cannot tell the difference in the tone used when making feedback vs complaint, then yeah maybe you should remove yourself from the thread.

For anyone who has root, these build.prop entries to force enable VoLTE worked for me:

persist.dbg.ims_volte_enable=1
persist.dbg.volte_avail_ovr=1
persist.dbg.vt_avail_ovr=1
persist.dbg.wfc_avail_ovr=1
persist.radio.rat_on=combine persist.radio.data_ltd_sys_ind=1 persist.radio.data_con_rprt=1
persist.radio.calls.on.ims=1

Or if you're using Magisk, use the VoEnabler module if you don't want to manually edit build.prop. I'm not sure if you can edit build.prop without root.

Feeback is just a nicer word to use only. It does not means you cannot complaint in the feedback. Since when people see form (either paper or electronically) say welcome your complaint?

Build.prop is in system partition. Root access is needed.

The issue is that a lot of people are complaining no signal at tunnels when TPG already mentioned that in the first place during sign up. Telling TPG something they already know is not going to do any help anyway. It's more like those people just blindly sign up without reading and come and complain on issue already mentioned...

More "feedback" will let TPG know how many people actually need that and hopefully they speed up the implementation.

If just like the initial complaint about how they distribute SIM card. With helps of press coverage, they improved the process in 2 day!

Not sure if anyone mention this but I am making calls from my Xiaomi Redmi 5 plus (Chinese ROM, MIUI 10.3) after some advance setting from here: https://forums.hardwarezone.com.sg/118729334-post9277.html

Ignore the part on Install MTK Engineering mode app from playstore, but remember go to phone setting>TPG to set VOLTE on. If you do not see the VOLTE, key in the magic key *#*#86583#*#* and then go back to set your VOLTE on.

OR you can key in the magic key first before proceeding to the advance setting on the weblink above. Then check VOLTE on. You may want to reboot your phone before trying to dial.

Tested on 2* Redmi 5 Plus on China and Global ROM.

Those are 2 different things from what I see. TPG already has plans on how they going to implement their reception improvement. In fact I think they need to report to IMDA regarding that. That's the reason from the very start they already mentioned no signal at tunnels.

The collection of the SIM is another thing. Providing feedback on the logistics is reasonable as such issues are not foreseeable.

Collected Sim card at SHAW center 7/2/19.

Tested 2 phones ,

Old Nexus 6P (US Model) shows no service when sim is popped in.

Google pixel 3 xl ,
works out of box on data.. Received activation on Xl plan but not on volte.
Tested outgoing call to other mobile phone (SingTel), can't get through

How I wish to use the old phone to put inside my car for Spotify music streaming.

Those who tested with and without volte. Is data access faster with volte enabled?

Now TPG still not really usable as normal SIM? For now I still use it as fail over WAN on my pfsense router

I am curious how this works. TPG makes clear that currently, only Huawei Nova 3i, Honor 10 Lite and Samsung S9 / S9+ are supported. Iphone not included.

But Apple website states that iPhones 6 and later supports VoLTE. Is it because TPG needs to do something more for iPhones to be able to use VoLTE to make voice calls?

Has anybody seen TPG installations? Outside my house, there is a row of SingTel, StarHub & M1 installations but I don’t see TPG anywhere. Yet there is reasonably good reception.

TPG might not be using the same technology as our local telcos here. iOS itself must contain the configuration for VoLTE settings before it will work with the provider.

As such, my guess is that iOS will only be fully supported if one day the LTE icon changes to 4G, like any other telcos.

I would not take the situation as not foreseeable from such a big corporate event. How many people register (not to forget also register website screw up issue) they should have statistic on hand to ready for the event.

They are already late in implementation. At this rate, I believe they cannot avoid a penalty for sure.

If this kind of planning and way to manage can be forgive. Then we do not know what to expect in future.

Not sure where did you see only those phones you mention is supported. On the day of sim card collection. They put up several big poster at the Q area. At least some 60 phone type is supported. If remember correctly, Xiaomi model make up almost one big poster. My Xiaomi-Redmi model is listed, but not voice call. Even LTE support is on B40 TDD only. So coverage is like out door ok, inside building (shopping center) you can forget about it.

Technically, if your phone support band 8 and 40. You should have no problem with data and if your phone can support VoLTE, your voice call will depend on if TPG support it. If your phone no VoLTE support, then voice call is out of question.

However, once data is working. You can use eg, WhatsApp to WhatsApp voice call. Coverage is another separate issue. Is like inside the building, most of the time you are on no signal. Until you walk out of the area, suddenly you get lots of messages (my case WhatsApp).

So, TPG is not yet ready for critical mission yes. (Those online game lover, make sure you stay a 1 place/good spot else you will be disappointed too).
