Thank you, moderator Xiaofan, for your recent guidance. How does the Deco BE65 / BE65 Pro perform with a 5Gbps connection? Previously, my BE85 / BE98 achieved speeds of 1200Mbps to 1500Mbps on the 5GHz band, which is almost the same performance as my Asus ZenWiFi XT8. I truly admire Asus's performance; they only lack the 6GHz band.

I spent $1100 on two different expensive routers, but they ended up performing almost the same as my old ones, which made me feel quite frustrated. I have since sold all the expensive routers to recoup my money. Now, I am not looking for high-end flagship models. I want to switch to a more affordable router that offers stable internet and supports Singtel's 5Gbps connection.

Do you have any good recommendations for this?

As mentioned by Radon that only Deco BE65 Pro has dual 5G ports which is more suitable for Singtel 5Gbps plan if you want to have single wired device utilizing the full 5Gbps bandwidth.

For wireless speed, it also depends on the wireless client. If you use WiFi 6 device on the 5Ghz band, you are not going to better much better results when connected to WiFi 7 router compared to WiFi 6 router.

You really need WiFi 7 device with 320MHz channel bandwidth support to really get the benefit of higher speed (say 3Gbps to 4Gbps on the 6GHz band).

2*2 BE 160 MHz 4096 QAM (WiFi 7 device on the 5GHz band) -- max PHY speed 2882Mbps, practical speed 1.2Gbps to 2Gbps, at close range

2*2 AX 160 MHz 1024 QAM (WiFi 6 device on the 5GHz band) -- max PHY speed 2401Mbps, practical speed 1.2Gbps to 1.8Gbps, at close range

2*2 BE 320 MHz 4096 QAM (WiFi 7 device on the 6GHz band) -- max PHY speed 5764Mbps, practical speed 3Gbps to 4Gbps, at close range

https://www.tp-link.com/sg/home-networking/deco/deco-be65-pro/

Thank you for your guidance.
,Could you recommend any brands for a cost-effective 2.5G network switch? I currently have a TP-Link 1GbE switch, and 10Gb switches are too expensive for me. I think a 2.5G switch would be sufficient.

How many ports you need?
if you get BE65 then comes with 4x2.5G, BE65 Pro comes with 2x5G & 1x2.5G.
If you don't need more than that can don't need to get.

Thank you for sharing. Can I directly replace my current TP-Link TL-SG105 with this Hasivo switch? Can I just plug in the power and connect the Ethernet cable to the router, or do I need to make any additional configurations?

Yes, it is just that simple as the default configuration is like a dumb switch.

I need 3 ports, and I've already downgraded the router. They have been sold, and I used the funds to buy a new router. Since the devices at home are too old and I don't plan to upgrade them in the next few years, I purchased two TP-Link Archer BE550 routers for just RM1130 on Lazada Malaysia yesterday, August 8th.

TP-Link Archer BE550 has one 2.5 Gbps WAN port and four 2.5 Gbps LAN ports. Still not enough for you?

Because the LAN port in my room (Room A) is connected to the network switch in Room B (which makes the secondary router in Room A part of the Mesh), the ONR and main router's LAN port in the living room is connected to Room B's port. The LAN port in my room was a temporary addition during the renovation, as it wasn't originally installed.

Is this brand any good? Its price is more favorable than Hasivo, and it is one of the Mercusys brands.

Should be okay, it belongs to TP-Link group and offers cheaper stuff than the TP-Link brand.

Hasivo seems to have better reviews outside of mainland China.
