Usually how low do their prices go? I see so many threads saying Tradepac this, bargain this and all. Looking to buy a casing from them. 550D, 750D or 900D. The bigger the pricetag the bigger the discount?

Most of their things are below srp.

Mobo + cpu ~ $30+ less
Ram & hdd around the same price
Gpu $5-$40 less
Chassis depends

350D $139
540 air $160
750D $220
900D $4xx

Most other brands around $5-20

Psu not much. At most $1-$10
Monitor $30 less for most dell monitors

Water cooling easily $25-$35 less
Air cooler not much left but around $5 less

Ssd is not interesting locally. At times they have some model to clear.

Peripherals dont bother.

And look at their receipt. They together with best buy all do not include gst.

Hmmmm..... now I understand why they prefer cash...... a shop like theirs can't possibly be doing less than S$1m turnover per year.

I went there to get a system, but because I did not get the casing and psu from them because they didn't have stock, they told me that the price for the mobo+cpu have to add 25/35(can't remember) bucks, saying price is only for full system. Attitude wasn't that nice either.

In the end went downstairs to best price to get. Rather pay a bit more for better service and reliability.

When buying at tradepac.

Do take note:

The shop does not charge gst to their customer.

They will/will not charge customer for mobo + cpu extra $25-$35 for a non full rig. You may however negotitate with them further if you buy many stuffs from them. You MAY head to mynextcomonline IF you are buying a standalone mobo + cpu.

Tradepac stocks turnover are extremely fast due to high flow of customer with below srp being sold to customer. Due to this, they usually run out of stock for various products. In particularly with gpus and mobos, possible psu.

Do not allow them to sway you away from buying other products if there is no stocks. If you are buying an entire rig you can ask them to drag stocks from other stores and sell it to you. Of cause they will charge you whatever price the other shop has quoted them. IF you are buying just 1 or a couple of items then you might wanna try other stores instead of them.

If you are in a position being recommended other products by them, do not jump into conclusion to confirm purchase, if in doubt please refer to the previous para or do a quick research on the products they recommend. Usually or most of the time i would say its crap recommendations.

Tradepac is for people whom wanna maximise their budget in order to build a rig. Pay less get more. It is not meant for soft spoken heart person or too kind heart person to shop. You will/may be eaten up by them for pratas (not unless you follow the list of components by any of our forumers here and being firm with your orders). Tradepac is also a place for people whom wanna buy cheap and just fk off. Not looking at service standard.

Tradepac DO charge 3% more for Credit card payment after whatever price you have bargained from them.

Installment plans are not excepted.

Do chase/push them a little to expedite your orders when you have made payment. Else you will wait for hours there.

Do not let them assemble the rig for you. Not unless you stay in the shop and monitor what they are doing. At times they are known to savage stuffs such as extra screws, extra case fan, extra sata cables etc.

Do let nigel aka gs in our forums help you in assembly with a small fee. Do make an appointment first before heading down. Or alternatively diy. Diy is definitely worth the effort and time in order for you to have some knowledge of your pc. It is also good that in future if there is a problem, you would be able to help yourself and do some troubleshooting steps.

In the event of whole sls no stocks, taking orders for items that are out of stocks are fine. If they require a small deposit or full payment, request for a receipt and ask for a date for collection. Normally if they do not wanna commit, they will tell you not to pay deposit or full payment. Usually for this case they have ordered stocks from distro. Just not in yet.

Do not entirely believe the entire bundle promo pricing listed in the pricelist.

Things like hard to be true type does not exist. Things like msi r9 270x 2gb twin frozr + fsp raider 450w silver at $319. There are things that are true such as cm311 + fsp hexa 500w at $105.

Promo done by distro, usually tradepac do not keep in mind. So normally they will quote their regular price instead of promo pricing. Of cause you may show the forum page and if in doubt ask them to contact the distro about the pricing.

Hope that clears some thoughts for people whom wanna shop at tradepac.

Roy, how safe is it to buy items from them that are not sealed like some psu or gpu etc? Is there risk of them giving you returned defective goods since can't test on spot?

btw best buy close shop run road liao.

Many items are not sealed by default.

Things that are sealed

Cpu
Hdd
Certain brand ssd
Chassis
Monitor
OS
Certain gpu like palit

Things are not sealed by default
Mobo
Psu
Certain brand ssd
Most brand gpu
Dvd drive

They are generally safe to purchase. If the item DOA, they will one to one exchange if stocks are available. If not you will need to head to distro and ask.

But that's more a Singaporean thingy isn't it? I mean like usually all GPUs are supposed to be sealed but strangely the seals are usually already broken in SG. I have no experience with Palit though. :vijayadmin:

Are they all under the same boss ah? Like a lot of similarly-named subsidiaries and shell businesses e.g. Best Buy, Best Value, Best Bargain and so on...

Tradepac there is a guy whom is extremely stern looking face with tons of golden bracelet and golden necklace. Wears quite a number of gold rings also. Lol
