even if self build, better make sure you know the set of box contents for your purchase... once, i have to go back to a shop just because someone "misplaced" a special video connector dongle that can split to different video outputs!
shopping at sls is like going to the battlefield... you must be prepared to hustle if met with problematic shops...
As well get from a more reliable or trustworthy shop unless one lives near SLS within walking distance. Sometimes a less reputable shop may be cheaper by $1 to $5 only, but have bad habit of recycling possibly defective returned products to resell to unknowing new customers. If something doesn't work, take public transport go back to swap also easily cost $2 to $4.
Buying computer components in SG is like going back in time 40 years.![]()
the situation has not changed all these years...![]()
Last time got seal but distro break it to put in the warranty cards. So now I think they don't bother already because the customer will just complain and ask why the seal is broken.
What era already? Distros still expect customers to mail in hardcopy warranty cards? Want to give business to SingPost siboh?
For goodness sake, either use online Web registration (who doesn't have Internet access today? Too poor to subscribe Internet also can go public libraries use their PCs), or just use a receipt/invoice as proof.
Break seal to slot in a warranty card?

Will Newegg ever come to South East Asia like Taobao? Singapore market probably too small to attract interest by itself.
