I've got a Transcend SSD230S 1TB since March 2019 and today just went dead for NO reason when power on PC.
It's at 98% health and only use for gaming.
Any Transcend SSD users wanna share their experiences with this brand?

Think I have the same model 500gb for 3 or 4 years, seems fine for me. But have repourposed it as backup drive for quite sometime, needs bigger capacity for modern games.

Now inside the pc has 2 nvme, sammy 960evo boot drive, kioxia exceria plus for work related storage, and 1 ssd crucial mx500 for games.

Most storage don't have any issue for me, except for those old intel ssd and 1 wd black hdd.

Nothing wrong with this brand for me. I have been using 3 or 4 SSDs from Transcend with no issues after 4 or 5 years. I don't think you can conclude a brand is good or bad based on 1 failure. Sudden death is a normal problem for flash based storage that can happen to any brand. If you think "popular" brands like Samsung and Crucial are better, you should Google online and get a sense. There is no 1 brand with 0 failure rate. I feel Transcend don't often market themselves, and as a result sound like some dodgy brand.

It can be a jarring experience if one has never had any product failed on them before 🤭

I had a Transend SSD 220Q 1TB since 2019 and an 6 yrs old Transend 8gb thumb drive, still doing fine.
Also got a Sandisk G27 1TB SSD as secondary drive, it's a reliable brand for me which no one mention about it .

Anyway premature failure can be due to bad setup/electricity or bad fate of this particular item. Just RMA it.

When change PC do you recycle your ssd and hard drives usually?
After ditching hdd for years, nope. Ssd and nvme has more than enough speed for normal usage, I don't feel bottlenecked by my storage and just reuse or repurpose.
