Hi All,

i made some el cheapo display floating shelves from the following materials
Ikea EKBY LAIVA Shelves $4 each
Ikea EKBY STÖDIS Brackets $1 each

each shelf will consist of 2 brackets and one shelf board so thats $6 bucks each..
will show some pics when i get home tonight..

after mounting the shelves i measure the distances and go to a local acrylic store to order custom acrylic sheets (2mm thick will do) and use foam tape to make a channel for the acrylic pieces to slide in and out..

acrylic sheets cost like $4 to $8 a piece depending on the size..

you give them the measurements and thickness and color, they will quote you

Heres the pics of my el Cheapo display rack..forgive me for the dusty corners..was in a hurry to go off to work this morning..

Acrylic sheets were used to keep out the dust

Foam tape was stuck on at intervals to keep the acrylic sheets in place..

You think any store at CSC taking orders for this? I did see a local ebay seller quoting price of S$110 for each limb and $150 for the main body...as preorder. Still prefer to get locally...you know of any store that brings in this?

Anyway, looks like Heavy Noisy is gonna release soon!

i saw the KO version at KSL City..so cheap it hurts cos i nv buy KO version before..lol
