Summary of my trip; end September 2015

Day 1 - Thursday

Flight landed approximately 2:45PM at Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport
Shared a taxi with 2 other people after failing to get a seat on the 3:30PM Hua Hin Airport Bus
Reached Hua Hin approximately 7pm
Checked in to Stonehead accommodation (not exactly a hotel)
Visited Hua Hin Night Market

Day 2 – Friday
7-11 Breakfast
6 Hours Hired Driver – visited Hua Hin Railway Station, Santorini Park, Camel Republic, Plearn Wan Vintage Market, Hua Hin Beach
Visited Cicada Market+Tamarind Market

Day 3 – Saturday
7-11 Breakfast
Hua Hin Bus Terminal – 830am bus back to Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport

36 hours in Hua Hin - http://www.flyhoneystars.com/2015/10/11/visiting-hua-hin-in-36-hours-sep-2015/

6 hour hired driver - http://www.flyhoneystars.com/2015/10/16/6-hours-hired-driver-hua-hin-and-chaam/

Santorinin Park & Camel Republic - http://www.flyhoneystars.com/2015/10/20/santorini-park-and-camel-republic/

Tip - consider pre-booking the airport bus to Hua Hin directly and pray there's not delay on your flight. The taxi route is not comfortable (with comparison) and victory monument mini van route seems to be time consuming..

Enjoy Hua Hin! I would have added 1 more full day and explore more places if I had more time.

Feel free to ask me any questions!

Went there 6 months ago and going again next month. Was actually going BKK but wifey wanted to take a break away from the crowd at BKK. So opted to go back to Hua Hin which we enjoyed alot during the last trip. This time we will be staying at a beach front resort instead of a hotel in town. Miss out on Santorini and Pleart Wan Market. Worth to visit???

For me, I find Cicada pleasant for a 1 time visit. This time round, I mighy visit again since I will be stay at Hyatt Regency which is just beside Cicada. Looking forward to the floating market. For the vineyard, the last time we were there, the grapes were not in season :(

1 full day in Hua Hin seems quite rushed. If u can drive, try getting a car rental for say THB1,000/day or less and drive around. Hua Hin and Cha-am are laid-back compared to Bangkok.

I'm considering renting a house/villa there in the future.

Oil slick, garbage close Hua Hin beach

Swimmers fled the water at normally clean Hua Hin beach in Prachuap Khiri Khan province on Tuesday as oil and oil coated garbage washed ashore there for the first time.

Hopefully they clean up the area soon.

Although there isn't much to do but photo taking in Santorini, I think it is worth to go since it is only 150B and you can kind of scam your friends that you have visited Greece. The rides look pretty boring unless you have kids.

For Plearn Wan, the shops and food ain't anything special but it is a good place to take vintage-style photos.

Haha cicada was not bad but we were just very annoyed with the coupon sales for food..

However, now that we have visited artbox in bangkok, cicada is nothing.. haha.

yep, do agree that once is enough.

they need to spend a bit more effort on maintenance too.. some of the railings were shaky and the paint peeled..

Dont think they will human traffic there to low for them to wanna do something about it.

We chose Hyatt Regency because its a beachfront resort. Basically its more for us to take our mind off the stress that engulfed us for the past 1 year. So this time it might not be like the last trip where we go to quite a few places during the 2 days. This morning I was still joking with my wife, perhaps we should just borrow a book, lie at the beach everyday, enjoy the breeze and sound of the tide and just relax.

I stayed at the intercon hua hin 2 nights. 1 day went out exploring and the other day just chilled at the hotel and went for a walk on the beach.

So no bridal photo studio to recommend but intercon would had been good for bridal photo shoot due to the garden and beach and also there is like a camp fire thingy at night beautiful.

Got to look for one myself for bkk. But if you have found any in hua hin do share i wont mind doing my photo shoot at intercon there.
