I have a TCL 55p8m with left side slight flickering. Any idea how to fix? TCL said panel issue SGD 500 to replace. I bought this tv brand new 1 and a half year ago. Really disappointed that it failed so soon. Any suggestions are welcome. Flicker is slow and TV still watchable but gets annoying eventually. If no fix then would like to sell for parts. Any idea how much I can get?

Frankly, I feel that all this is about luck.

If lucky, you get one that last a long time. If not, then no.

So my rule of the thumb is, heck branded, get the cheapest. Because if the cheapest fails, can just buy another one.

Carousell is full of low ballers and shop agents. Any other platform?

Frankly, Carousell are mainly for the sake of clearing stuff.

I saw many sellers selling stuff at unrealistic prices.

Example :
Samsung 48” Smart TV Curved UHD
Asking $550

Xiaomi Mi 55-inch Full Global HD SMART 4S TV
Selling $648 (New with 1yr warranty)

Who will buy this correct?

To sell something on Carousell, one must see what is the market price of similar items at the point that they want to sell. Not thinking : Oh, I bought this TV for $1K, now I sell at $700, very cheap already. But in reality, similar specs and new TV with warranty are selling at say $750. Who will buy this?

Yes, there are low ballers who just trying the luck. This type usually even if you agree to their asking straight away, they will then say : Oh, I want to think about it.

Personally, when I sell something on Carousell, I will check :

1. Price of similar item for new one at that point in time.
2. Asking price of similar item of other seller.
3. Then I will post slight lower than the lowest asking price.

In this way, I will get more inquiries. So chances of offloading it will be faster. But if you are in a position of : If I can get the offer price I want, then I sell, if not I will keep. Then that is a different mindset to begin with.

I have a LG OLED 55eg910t. Yesterday it just blackout and cannot switch on after. Tried to unplug for a day and it still cannot be switched on. There is a red light so there should be power. When press the on/off button on the remote, there is a clicking sound like being switch on, the red light is off but a few sec later there is nothing and the red light is on again. Sometimes when press the on/off button, there might be flash of red/white lights/lines on the screen else it is mostly black.

Anyone has encountered this and know what is the problem?
My LG OLED 55eg9at, just died on 11-Aug-2021 and had the exact same symptom as yours, did you manage to get it repaired?

My child just threw something on the screen and it’s broken.

for this kind of case is it worth to find repair or throw away the tv?

it’s a Xiaomi 65 inch curved tv. Bought about 4 years ago. :(

Just throw away and get a new one bah. Can switch back to a normal flat panel. Curved ones typically have reflection and uniformity issues.

Dear all, need your help please. While watching my LG OLED 65 B6, it suddenly had this horizontal lines problem. Tried using the pixel shift panel through settings but did not work.
Any idea what can be done?
Thank you.

Just engaged Mr Ho. Sony TV cannot be powered on (no LED light) and everyone is saying either power supply or motherboard. Called Mr Ho and he did a thorough check. End up, its just a diode and he replaced it in no time. Highly recommended.
