2017 product. Looks like its nearing the end of its life cycle.
Is the screen showing lines or blocks of lines? Or are you getting double images and flickering issues?

Just repaired a Sony 49in Android TV with 6 blinks issue. Spare parts took about a week to arrive but replacement part was working fine. Hard to trust online retailers but this particular one was reliable. There should be alot more mileage to go for this Sony TV.

My Samsung RU7400 TV suddenly black out today. Power is working OK, audio out to AVC is working.

Upon closer look, the screen is actually displaying video and text but its with 100% darkness. Suspect either backlight completely spoil or no power output to backlight component.

I opened the back cover and tried cleaning (with WD40) and reconnecting all the connectors to T-CON and power supply boards but that didnt help. Any way to repair this TV on economical scale?

Yes. WD40 contact cleaner.

Do u know which part control the voltage to all the backlight? Im unsure if its inside the panel or is part of the power supply circuit board.

If your TV is powered by a separate 19.5V power adapter (like most Sony TVs), then there should be an LED Driver board inside the TV.
If there is only a power cable going into the TV, then the LED driver should be part of the power supply board.

My Xiaomi 4S 43" tv has an issue of screen dimming off whenever it is turned on. I tried opening up to take a look, no blown caps, no burnt smell. Removed and reinsert all ribbon cables but still the same. Any repair man to recommend or any suggestions? If not, i will just get the Xiaomi P1 43" during sale.

Can get the Hisense E7h which is Google tv.

The rest of their tv not Google though. You will need to buy an external google box otherwise.

Thanks for the suggestions. But im leaning towards the Xiaomi coz i need a 43" TV that is light as it will be mounted onto false wall directly. So far, have not drop for the last 3 years. Current 4S 43" is abt 7kg, so i prefer to maintain as it is. But of coz best is if can fix it somehow.

My Sony TV was repaired by bro limtk55 recently.
Reasonable price and definitely better than the Sony technician's "change the whole panel or better just throw the TV away" mentality.
Very good deeds of him helping strangers like me, and saving the earth another big electronic waste.
Good luck and good health to him and his family.

Screen issues are rather problematic. As long as there is no cracks or impact damage, there is still some hope of salvage.

Seeking help from @limtk55.

I have a Sony Android TV KD55X9500G.

The screen suddenly went black yesterday when my child was watching. The sound is on, but no image.

Tried restart, plugged of the power overnight but problem remains.

Any advice?

Screen flameout is quite a common issue. Since there is still sound but no image, I will need to troubleshoot display panel, board power supply and LED strips. There is no reset procedure for this issue that a user can do.
If the standby LED blinks an error code, count the number of blinks per interval. You can also use your phone's torchlight against the display to check for moving images. PM me if unsure.

Thanks for your swift response. No sure why but it seems like there is no PM function for me.

No blinking on standby LED; no moving image. Simply backlight.

Just repaired a Philips TV with a power supply issue. Output voltages were unstable and causing auto shutdown and keeping TV on standby mode in perpetuity.
