Did you pay cash or via credit card define in the app?

I paid via credit card. So far ok coz I received emails showing the fee after 50% discount. So the drivers did not anyhow drive off without completing my ride on his app.

But I have not receive my monthly statement, don't know got any weird surcharge for using credit card outside Singapore.

Ya try Grab car in JB cause its a fixed rate, even driver anyhow drive long route or stuck in heavy jam, we pay what is reflected when we book. Don't have to worry that drivers purpose take longer route, and I am sure they will choose the fastest and shortest route cause they also want to save petrol and time to pick up more passengers. Uber more ex as less uber cars and app so unstable. Try log in both apps to get the estimate costs next time u try grab/uber in JB.

was in the cab and i took the metered taxi and was overcharged grossly from sentral to jusco tebrau. I paid 50RM. think the guy blatantly activated the airport surcharge 12rm and we stupid stupid paid.

nvm, we talked among ourselves that its cheaper to use grabcar and uber and the taxi driver got very defensive and said grabcar and uber are not allowed for use in msia and the taxi drivers always find trouble with grabcar uber drivers by honking them and vandalising their cars etc, hooliganism i must say.

next time i am going with my guy friend i am definitely going to grab or uber, taxi driver are not going to get 1cent of business from me anymore.

Unless there's a bad traffic jam, I'd say that's twice (or more) what I used to pay for metered fare from City Square to Tesco Tebrau. Or was that one of the blue taxis you took? Even that, regular metered fare used to be RM30 thereabout.

Yup, avoid taxi stands when you use Grab or Uber. I read they aren't supposed to stop there, anyway. Just wait or arrange for them to pick/drop you where private cars go.

If I need to go from JB to Mersing, will Grab or Uber be an option? How much will it cost? Will it be easier to get Grab/Uber from JB Sentral or Larkin?
