I am by no means even close to being called a audiophile (I am a noob) and i can hear the difference between my Shure 315 and the UM Mage.
Hope my X5 is able to drive the UM Mage without an amp. Still waiting on the mage.
Fiio X5 can drive my Merlin (4BA + 1 Dynamic) without amp at low gain with sufficient volume at levels between 40 to 60, so I believe Mage (4BA) should not be a problem at all!
haha tempted to get my first pair of custom IEM too. the looks of the pictures are great but im like abit lost how to get started. haha~
Hi TeamStudio just a question i visited the site, but it seems that after all customization there is no preview of how the CIEM will look like. Did i miss some steps?
Are ear impressions a one time thing or everytime we need to refit a custom iem or make a new one , a new ear impression will have to be made.
Adult female here so i don't think i am unlikely to outgrow anything

Thanks for the confirmation. Thats great to hear..but just out of curiousity, how is it paired with the e12.
(My CO will kill me if she knows how much i spent on the CIEM)
Anyone has the UM Mage>X5>E12 combo care to comment on the enhancements to the UM Mage?
I will most probably be testing out this combo when I get my Mage....2 weeks and countinggggg.....

I suggest just test UM Mage with X5 directly first, if it is loud enough and good enough for you, then you no need to consider E12 for now and just enjoy what you have.
If you really wanna try E12, I suggest trying it yourself, bring your rig down to shops and try it on the spot. There are thousands of impressions around but nothing beats an actual audition to tell you whether they are worth buying.
