Hi all, I'm in army now and is going to Ord in less than a year.I would like to apply into UniSim's degree in finance. But problem is I only have a GPA of 2.36.Would like to as the seniors here if I would stand a chance?
just apply.
i 2.2 gpa also apply lol.
but am doing part time studies with few years experience tho
SAME I around 2.2 also.i applied.get in,dont even need interview.. did HR course. probably because my ns i work as HR clerk. i dont think unisim exactly have a cut off point.should be got money can get in already. as in to pay school fees.
Those who did not get in most likely is cause they reach the quota for certain course le for that intake.
Hi guys thanks for your replies.Would like to confirm the no cut off point is for UniSim and not SIMGE?
(Cause I heard that since its going to become/already is a local university,it's very competitive for slots and need a minimum gpa of 3)
Depends on whether you're applying full time unisim or part time unisim. Yes, the local variant.
If full time, your GPA no chance. At least 3.3-3.4 and above last I heard.
If part time, not very sure but I think you can get in.
You need a min 3 years to grad be it part time or full time. Just that part time allow you to drag till 8 yearsWow that's way off my range...I wanted to get into the full-time one since I can reduce the amount spent from dragging the study time..so it seems there's no hope of me joining a full time local degree then..

if im not wrong the only different between PT AND FT is pt is at night and ft and morning and also pt let u select how many mods u want per sem right?FT force u to take a certain amount per semester right?
u just reminded me or smth. iirc, unisim start to make the pt and ft course same liao(in terms of taking same modules).so that it be fair to those taking pt..if not like pt the HR CERT less worth than ft de hr cert.
is it hard to cope with SIM Modules?
from this sem onwards yes.everything change already for unisim.becoming local u and 2ND THING IS, they will mark part time same as full time lets say for same modules..alot of pt modules become retired because they want us pt take same modules as full times one..some of our pt two modules become combined into 1 module but the 1 module never dilute, still same load.
so yea. more difficult from 2017 jan onwards le.
no wonder the assignments are tougher and marking is stricter. not good for those working full time.
