Disney got more things to see & but it's not surprising if you had been to say Disney HK~ for the rides, comparing their best 4D rides, USJ Harry Potter ride is better than Disney Star Tours~

ah gui went Disney in Anaheim before, it's my best theme park experience so far

Have to see what rides you like. Going as a group?

Peak or off peak? Weekends and holidays queues can be very long.

If you're not aren't theme park can try the single rider queue. Faster then normal queue

End of the day it's what you value money or time.

USJ is the most expensive theme park I ever been to... from the tickets to the merchandize inside... even their popcorn buckets are more expensive than Disneyland... Their mario popcorn bucket is 5500 yen vs Disneyland seasonal bucket about 3-4000yen...

but personally I felt that the rides and experience are better than Disneyland... so it is expensive for a reason...

If you are a ride person... you would want at least a 4 express pass... really save a lot of time... and I would say 4 express rides can fill up 1 day already if you also walk around or go eat lunch/dinner... 7 express pass can be done if you cheong all the rides without looking at other stuffs...

For 1st timer... I would definitely suggest 4 express pass... do check out the different passes as it got specify which rides are eligible for each different passes...

Go and check their website to see which ride or show is under maintenance first like currently Jaws under maintenance and Jurassic park the ride da pai faulty also. The XR ride also bo liao.

My time the Jaws ride towards the end last 2-3 mins the speaker a little intermittent… they jitao offer another round without waiting in line… change boat go another round… their service recovery damn good…

I think the trending ride is the Donkey Kong ride… I went on the 2nd day opening but their express pass was sold out few weeks before opening… the whole Nintendo world damn crowded…

The Harry Potter ride also quite nice… but could be quite intense for kids…

Thanks all. I'm going off peak season in July on a weekday. Prolly will get express 4. Only plan to visit 1 day during my trip. Will be my first time in Osaka. Keep reading reviews they say go 1-2hr before park open then once open Chiong in to Nintendo world?

Alternatively download the usj app, scan your ticket. On entry into usj apply for time entry to Nintendo world. If successful you'll be given a time window to enter snw. No time limit to how long you stay after entry.

I reached around 7am, already alot of people. 7.20am thereabouts the gates opened and I made a dash for nintendo world. My wife wasted some time buying the nintendo watch thing. Played all the games and left around 9am to other part of the park. Before 9 use the app to apply entry to nintendo world for free so I got a session for 12.50pm, just nice. Chiong harry potter and all the rest of the rides till its time to go back.

1 mistake I made was not going to donkey kong first. Within 15 mins of the 7.20am opening donkey kong has a queue for 60 mins. So decided to come back in my 2nd session in nintendo world. Came back around 1pm and the queue was 100 mins. Lan lan just queue.

So I suggest making a dash for donkey kong first once it opens, then do the others.

If you getting the express pass, make sure your pass include the nitendo time entry so you no need to early morning go and queue.

hi thanks for the reply. so you went nintendo world twice? first time just chiong there without the app reservation and second time you booked a reserved slot? for the first one chiong in they allow in without having a reserved time?

oh nice means you spent about 1.5hr before completing most rides in nintendo world except donkey kong which you came back later during the reserved timing.

seems like nintendo world is the "biggest" attraction there which housed many rides? any tips for the rest of the park or only nintendo world is the busiest/crowded.

Another draw will be the photo taking with the characters, we took some nice photos but need to buy the professional photos after. Though they were nice enough to allow you to take photos with your own phone as well.

I think the nintendo watches were worth it if your kids are of the age but not the harry potter wands.

If he getting express pass, he should be able to get the time entry for SNW already so no need to go early to rush with others. Can go play other popular rides like flying dinosaur, hollywood ride, Doraemon etc first.

Errr of course. But each express pass is $250 IIRC, for my family of 4, it's $1k, i don't think it's worth it.

I think there is even a concierge butler service thing which is 4+k per person. The butler follows you around.

If got money by all means.

Because July is considered peak season for their domestic. Alot of summer festival and sch holiday start. Normally express pass price will only increase more and more until sold out.
