Did this seller reply you almost immediately? I see alot reviews saying fast and quick response. However I dropped him a message since yesterday 2pm and dropped another one again this morning but no replies. However this seller seem to be able to give others feedback yesterday night.

It depends. Some sellers are damn **. English also damn cui to the point it is worse than primary school students (not just 1 seller) which means the instruction and information they gave you is unclear. You have to ask them many times in different ways to get an answer (can be a simple question like: "Do you have tickets on XXX?" they will tell you "dh". Btw I messaged like 4-5 sellers. Only 1 replied but the attitude is shitty. Also not very cheap

Anyway on printing of tickets in Japan, it is actually pretty easy.

There are printers at convenience stores like Lawson, FamilyMart, etc.

For me I printed Disneyland tickets. As I brought my thumbdrive there, I download the PDF tickets on tablet then transfer to thumbdrive. Then insert my thumbdrive there. There are many different kinds of readers from the printer, can read from thumbdrive, phone, etc. The printer has different languages. Quite fun to use lol

Yar easier if u have it on thumbdrive, but i needed to print it out from my email so more troublesome. n the apps that i need to dl is in japaneses, dn understand. my google play is in SGP version. so had some trouble there. register online is easier.

No, the pricing is not standard. The price of express passes fluctuates depending on the season. You can click around on the jap version of USJ's website to see pricing for other days/months. If it's more expensive than usual, then it's a good bet that the park is going to be very crowded on those days.

I just checked the website. Express4 ticket cost ranges from 4075 yen to 5186 yen in May, i.e. about 51sgd to 64sgd. If changi recommend is charging $168, then just buy the express ticket directly from USJ's japanese website. The english version of USJ's website does not allow purchase of express passes. Use google translate. The tricky part is having to insert a japanese address and postal code during the purchase process, but nothing too difficult. I inserted a random postal code when I bought my tickets previously. There are some guides online that can take you through the process step-by-step.

Edit: Cool Japan Express 4 ticket cost ranges from 4075 yen to 5186 yen in May. Universal Express Pass 4 cost ranges from 4630yen to 11667 yen. The rides/attractions are different for each pass. I suspect you'll want the universal express pass 4? That allows a timed access to Harry Potter.

Express 7...queues for the newer rides are insane without express pass, even on weekdays. Expect to queue hours for the Flying Dinosaur and Harry Potter. And start queuing to get into the park early. Queues to get into the park start forming an hour before the park opens.

Alternatively, don't stress yourself by trying to go for every ride. As with all universal theme parks, there are some rides duplicated across Universal parks. E.g. USJ's spiderman ride uses the same mechanics and ride vehicle as our Transformer ride. The only difference is the theme. But the thrill factor is largely the same.

If you end up buying an express pass, please buy it as early as possible, even if it means locking in the date you have to visit the park. When you purchase your express pass, you have to pick the time slot for which you want to enter the Harry Potter, and the time slot for taking the Flying Dinosaur. I recommend picking the earliest Harry Potter timeslot possible, and finishing up all the rides and attractions there as soon as possible. That area just gets ridiculously crowded as the day goes by, and even express pass holders end up having to queue. If you buy your express pass late, chances are, the early time slots for entering Harry Potter will be sold out already.

Great choice! Flying dino is easily the best roller coaster in the park.

Couple more tips. Your express pass requires you to choose between:

JAWS or
Terminator 2:3-D or
Backdraft

Do not waste your choice on Backdraft. Among the three, it typically has the shortest queue, and is the most boring. I suspect USJ is using Backdraft as a crowd control measure. I recommend either JAWS (fun boat ride that is almost the same as JAWS in Universal Hollywood. You are on a boat for this one, but you are on a tram for the one in Hollywood) or Terminator (sit down show, almost the same as Universal Florida, entirely in Japanese with no subtitles so you are only watching for the visuals but got aircon).

Also, when you enter the park, go straight for Hollywood Dream Backdrop rollercoaster, which used to be the best rollercoaster before Flying Dinosaur came on board last year. Making it your first ride might save you a one or two hours later on in the day.

1. If some in my group does not want to take the rides, means I need not buy express pass for them?

2. I read that the Harry Potter world will close if it is too crowded? Does it mean that we have to q to get it? Means express pass will be needed for my whole group?

3. For visiting in Dec, when is the earliest that I should buy the tickets?

4. Entry tickets, Express Pass and VIP Pass can all be bought separately, right?

You can, just need to pray hard hard that the park is not crowded plus HP is not crowded as well. think queue awhile can go in le. Two years back, i bought the express pass just to guarantee entry into HP. then in the end, it wasnt so crowded then i see people walking in freely.

Sexperts! Anyone know if there's any other way of getting to USJ from Namba(nankai) by direct/shuttle bus? Dont' really like the idea of changing trains 2 time(luggage n kids) and of cos the taxi fare is crazy too. Hyatt i know provide shuttle svc to USJ but swissotel doesnt

don't think you can get tax-free for services.

tax-free can only be for products that you will be using when you are out of japan.

That's why they will want to seal your bags when you make tax free purchases and they will tell you not to open the bag until you leave japan.
