There are merchants that give additional cashback on UOB One. Effectively it can be more than 3.33%
You mean Shopee, McDonald's and dairy farm group? I'm going with UOB one too, but doing $500. $800 is a bit too much for me

how is 3.33% on the UOB one better than 3.75% for the EVOL?
Use it mostly for bonus cashback merchants, which gives an additional 5% to 6.67% cashback depending on which tier u hit ($500/$1000/$2000).

That was UOB one when it first started
Good old days. There was even a short period where it essentially gave $200 free per month. Now heavily nerfed, though still quite useful for those who spend heavily on Grab, Shopee, DFI, McDs, SP utilities etc.

Am thinking of switching to UOB One as well with the nerfs to the EVOL card. Does anyone know if this additional cash back on these merchants have a cap?

The UOB EVOL card seems like it's trying to poke us to use the physical card for "other spend" category I think? But then the cashback % is so low that even UOB One can beat it easily assuming you spend just nice for the tiers

Not much point using it for the others 0.3%. Using this card optimally ($300 online/mobile, $200 fx, $300 others) yields about 5.55% after deducting the 3.25% fx fee (or 6.36% if u don’t deduct fthe fx fee). But hard to achieve unless u regularly have fx in-store spending.

Tink I will also be swapping to UOB One card from July to meet the requirement for my UOB Account. Will be aiming for the $500 spend per month.

Think I'll go back to DBS livefresh now that they've clarified what "shopping" is

I find it strange that all 3 big banks in SG are giving disproportionately high cashback for spending on transport and ride hailing. Are they trying to cover their NPL for car loans? 🤔😉😏

I just put my insurance spend (when I have it) on the LF since no card gives cashback anyway. Then charge whatever transport and shopping spend for that month on it. Can’t spend so much on shopping every month.
