For the UOB one card, is it the case that you must hit the min month spend for EACH of the three months in the quarter (for eg Sept to Nov)? If one didn’t hit the min spend for even one month out of the three months, then the rebate won’t be given ?

yes. either get no rebate or get lower tier rebate where applicable. Can try to appeal and make up the difference in other month, subjected to agreement by UOB.

Thanks - so UOB one card is essentially a quarterly rebate. Not so awesome anymore.

Have always been like this since day 1

Yeah agree with you, not sure what OP mean by not awesome anymore with the quarterly rebate. That’s not changed since day 1. Not awesome the number of non-qualifying transactions since that’s increased quite a bit. But essentially getting $100 a month on $2k spend is pretty damn sweet.

He meant that since the beginning that this cashback has always work in quarterly format and not monthly based.

any1 sign up for UOB bank account online for the $100 promo only to get $53 because u r required to go branch to submit supporting docs?

this bank really smelly. I applied the account online, if need to submit supporting docs, why not submit via email? Ask me go to the branch and don't give me full $100

🤗

It’s not a bad card if you can get the max tier rebate of 5% every quarter. No need think so much about category

I applied to change my giro for Citi and posb credit cards from dbs to UOB One. Do I have to delete the giro arrangement in dbs or is it auto switch?

After you have seen giro debit arrangements being reflected on Citi and POSB credit cards monthly statement, it is safe to delete the giro arrangements in DBS if it still exists.

Which card can beat one card? In terms of the rebate amount? I want to cancel this card

Depends on which tier. If you are talking about 5% cashback, then would be BOC family card for online spend/Telco bills.

Citibank card 8% but min spend 888 (split by 200 for various categories)

Hmm I can’t see which account it was supposed to deduct from from the credit cards side.

Both uob deposit and dbs showed active giro. Thanks for advising. I will wait for this month deduction.

Isn't Maybank Saveup account interest higher than UOB one? And when compared with BOC easier to attain?

Well it depends. Some people do 3x Giro to fulfil requirement for UOB one, without need to credit salary.
