No min. But some giro need a min amount to be triggered.

Yes. Beware of property tax. Min $10. So IRAS will spilt no. of mths accordingly. In my case, last 2 mths of the year no GIRO. I only realise when I call up to ask last Nov. Luckily I arrange for 4 GIRO so still get my bonus interest

Finally shift over to ONE account.

Quick qn: for the actions like 3 giro txn, and $500 credit card spending, are the additional interests on the ONE account applied to the same calendar month, or the next month? I am asking this because if its applied to the next month, technically i should shift the funds only in the month AFTER i begin the actions (3 giro and spend $500)

Applied (calculated) same month, credited next month

You should ensure your 3 GIRO will be charged in that mth then shift in. GIRO takes some time to setup.

It "seems" UOB starting for FORCE users to migrate app token, my token unable to verify and UOB wants people to use the mighty app.

stanchart and citi are already using their apps to verify.

I find it convenient that certain functions that traditionally require physical tokens (add payee, change daily limits etc) can now be done when u r on the go

I can’t agree more. I have a box of physical token and it’s god damn annoying. Not even thinking about carrying them

Love the app feature to replace it if you ask me

Everything already on the phone nowadays.

Apple Pay, Samsung Pay, Ibanking app, email, whatsapp etc

Unless you live in a old school era where you use typewriter, snail mail or i dunno what. Phone and IT is here to stay

And Apple can wipe phone remotely if you loss it so it doesn’t matter. Buy new phone set up again. Don’t say cost of phone expensive cause if you lose it it’s your problem. Same as every other thing

Imagine the hassle if you lose the phone.

i like the initiatives by banks to remove physical tokens. whenever my colleagues sees me carrying so many token in a stack, they always thinks i'm crazy.

if the phone is lost, it can be wiped away. the banks don't allow configuring tokens on more than 1 device. so once another new phone is configured, the old device is wiped of its token function. plus u need the passcode or fingerprint to login into the token so it's layers ahead of the physical token.

However for Android security patches are not timely, however I need the OS customization purposes due to work (home screen widgets).

I agree if you are on iPhone, you're good to go.

If you're on Android and money in the bank, better not be complacent unless the bank specifically GUARANTEES that 100% liable for fraudulent transaction due to phone security gaps.
