Today many banks increase rate. DBS Multiplier increase rate. Esaver increase rate. CIMB Fastsaver increase rate (from Sep).

The increase in UOB One for the highest tier and only if have salary credited is pathetic.

To correct CIMB fastsaver 01 Aug already increase and then increase again for Sep 2022 so is two times increase

Same just empty uob one and move to esaver. Finally can ditch uob one and their cc
Just note that esaver is a 2 mth cycle. Current promo for Aug and Sep and is based on incremental deposit compared to Jul balance. So you need to move funds out on 1 Oct.

But it seems like only if you credit your salary (plus $500 min spend) will you reach the additional tier (if you have the $500 min spend + 3 GIRO, you don't qualify).

And this additional tier is a promotional one, valid until 31 Dec 2022.

From the website:
Not bad, one reason to stay a bit longer with UOB one.

They are smart to make this "valid till end Dec 2022" as a promo, gives some flexibility in adjusting if mkt changes .....

They should just adjust upwards Liao. So many terms and conditions and still lousy rate. I planning to move out all my UOB funds out also

there are opportunity costs of charging to UOB ONE too because maybank fnf or citi cashback give 8% for petrol, fnb and groceries..so a 5% difference on $500 spend is $25 per month

Ya that’s why, pre covid UOB one interest is always higher than fixed deposit by around 0.7%

you guys should dump this account to send a msg to UOB that their 'promotion' is crap.

other banks are either offering no-strings attached 1.5% and higher (eg. eSaver, EGA, Multiplier etc.)

Can only dump next month, Aug still need to complete my third month for the quarter of the credit card. Btw, if my quarter ends on 31 Aug, when is the earliest I can withdraw and close the account?

I'm not sure.. I guess after the bonus interest is credited (usually by 5th of the next month).

the card cashback is credited on the card itself so it shouldn't matter should you close the one account after the quarter ends.

you closing the account completely? means you not going to use the One card also liao ah..

I still keeping bare min ($1000) and spend $500 to collect 3.33% (+5% for some merchants) every quarter...

U talk so much sai, u go complain lah.
No better still, u think running a bank so easy, u go open own bank lah.

Kns. even that their promo is not the best doesn’t mean it’s crap or shld u label it as such.

My spendings on UOB One card mainly consist of ipm/cardup (which unfortunately is now in exclusion list) & a very small portion on the few merchants that give additional rebates.

I'm thinking of applying back Maybank platinum visa to replace this card if ipm/cardup is eligible for the cash rebate and would be a bonus if got new sign-up gift too

Guess may follow your method by shifting usual spendings on other cards here to hit the 500 min for 3.33% (+5%), but don't know if want to keep One Account or not

From 01 Aug 2022, if you spend min. $500 on eligible CC spend and credit your salary, and has $100k in UOB one acct, the bonus interest per month should be :

28 days in the month = $54.65 + $56.57 [1st $75k + next $25k]
29 days in the month = $56.60 + $58.59
30 days in the month = $58.56 + $60.61
31 days in the month = $60.51 + $62.63
