For UOB One, the webpage says up to 2.0% if spend $500 on cc.

I look at the table,
1% for first 10k,
1.5% for the next 20k,
2.0% for the next 20k.

Lets say I have 50k,
does it mean roughly,
10k*0.01 + 20k*0.015 + 20k*0.02 = $800 p.a. (or roughly 1.6% interest p.a.)

Is this concept correct?

Yes. But should set up 3 or more GIRO and go for the higher tier interest.

Thanks!

I'm going for this UOB with POSB CashBack to maximise my gain. Since UOB doesn't really need salary crediting and use GIRO, I can transfer my IRAS GIRO and my 2 insurance GIRO to UOB, while salary crediting on my POSB temporarily until POSB can't last then I salary credit back to UOB :D

Only concern about is the $500 spending. I kinda about $255.00 max. Hmm.. any idea how to top it up to $500? Other than outside dining 24/7 on fastfood? :s13:

$500 isn't a lot if you're a working adult with responsibilities. Petrol, groceries, food, gym/other club memberships, telco bills, broadband bills, S&C bills can all be charged to the card, hitting $500 easily if that's your only card.

I don't own a house and car. I rent room. So,
- No Petrol
- Gas bills/ etc

I don't go exercise in gym too. So,
- no gym membership.

(NTUC Plus! Membership counts? Planning to sign up this)

Telco/broadband bills I'm planning to use HSBC Revo for miles.

I only rely UOB for groceries and food. But $500 for this two category seems pretty overspend for singles like me though.

You already mentioned mobile and broadband bills. You gotta sacrifice somehow.

If you're not hitting $500 monthly spend, then forget about the rebates/extra interest. You're in effect saving more than others are earning in those categories :)

Haha, I know but somehow I wanted to make my balance money grows actually. I can't put it into investment as it's my mums retirement.

Anyway I'm using UOB Preferred Visa, do I earn UNI$ for Singtel + HSBC GoalSaver instalment?

Would Ez-link top-up using credit card eligible for min $500 spending? Using Preferred Visa.

Preferred Visa can be used to fulfill UOB One card spend? Based on what was advertised so far only UOB One card and UOB lady's card. Some people say can request for UOB Yolo also.

Ouch. Din realised that. All along thought any UOB card can contribute towards $500 spending.

If thats the case, UOB one account is not possible since UOB One doesn't favours me at all.

UOB one account monthly bonus interest calculation if you meet both criteria and has at least $50k :

((1.5*10000)+(2.0*20000)+(3.33*20000)-(0.05*50000))/100*[no of days in the month]/365

or simply

$(3.263*[no of days in the month])

Eg. Jan got 31 days, so it is $101.15

Sep : 30 days : $ 97.89
Oct : 31 days : $101.15
Nov : 30 days : $ 97.89
Dec : 31 days : $101.15
B.U.M.P. :s13::D:)
