Switched my IRAS Giro payment to UOB One on 1/4 and the payment plan immediately updated to include the last deduction (ie April 2025) from POSB ac over the period May 2025 - April 2026. So I thought IRAS will not deduct from my POSB ac on 6/4 but it did.

I am still receiving notices in my IRAS inbox on 8/4 and 15/4 to inform me of the Giro payment plan for May - next year April. Though money is deducted on 6/4, the next 1 year monthly payment amount is not reduced.

Anyone experiencing the same?

nope. my April GIRO (in my case, from HSBC) didn't happen. I had cancelled the GIRO arrangement with HSBC prior to applying for the new GIRO with UOB. IRAS will start the deduction from May...

you should alert IRAS that the deduction happened for you in April (or are you sure the amount increased from May onwards - taking into the assumption there's no deduction in April?)

6 Apr is Sunday. No GIRO deduction.

You can login to the tax portal and look at the online statement of account. Any GIRO deduction on 7th Apr (ITX & PTX) should have been posted and reflected by now.

It’s not updated, that’s the problem. The notices sent to my inbox on 8/4 nd 15/4 still showing same increased amount after I changed Giro ac to UOB.

It is ok to me if they deducted in April but at least the next month’s payment should be reduced accordingly. But it is not. Now I take total up the next 12 months payment amounts and it is more than my total tax amount for year of assessment 2025.

Don't be a gan jiong spider, check back IRAS portal again in a week.

It is ok to me if they deducted in April but at least the next month’s payment should be reduced accordingly. But it is not. Now I take total up the next 12 months payment amounts and it is more than my total tax amount for year of assessment 2025.

I think what happen is this. The last GIRO payment for YA2024 tax bill should be 7 Apr 2025. But you change the bank account details on 1st Apr, so in the end the last payment is not deducted. So IRAS bring forward the Apr 2024 GIRO payment and add to the YA2025 Provisional Tax payable. The revised GIRO plan should become (Apr 2024 GIRO Amount + YA2025 est tax payable)/12 - payment from May 2025 to Apr 2026.

Once the YA2025 tax payable is finalized sometime in Jun 2025, IRAS will send u a revised GIRO payment plan, taking into consideration any overpaid amount from May to Jun 2025 and revised the GIRO Plan for months Jul 2025 to Apr 2026.

The GIRO payment for Apr 2025 should be posted and reflected within 3 business days. And the account balance should be $0 since you have settled the last payment in Apr 2025.

It takes up to a week for it to show up on IRAS portal for me.
