Next Month, want to empty my UOB One account to CPF. But the last day of November is Sunday.
If I initiate Transfer on that day, would the Money reachs the CPF account on the same day or on the next day? anyone has this experience?
(if this money is credited to CPF on the next day ( 1-Dec), my added Money will only earn CPF interest on Jan).

if I'm not wrong, CPF treats all top ups on the same day, everyday regardless weekday or weekend. Even PH too.

Came across a CPF FAQ on this before but can't find now.

If you want to play safe, can transfer most of it on Saturday and a little on Sunday (for testing purpose).

Update for sharing: top up CPF today and it's posted today.

Just want to share my experience with UOB CSO today regarding a scam call.

Received a scam call by someone stating he's from Uob and my credit card has been used for some unauthorised transaction. Short story is that I hung up the call shortly and called uob to report the incident. The CSO after taking down the details then asked me if I wish to lock all my accounts and credit cards and be issued new ones. My reply was no as it didn't make any sense to go through all the administrative nightmare just because I received a scam call (albeit they got my name and nric). The CSO then proceeded to give a motherhood statement that since I decided not to lock my account, I may be liable for any financial losses that may subsequently happen (without any qualification on whose fault that may be).

This episode undermines my confidence in the bank that when a customer reported a scam, all they care was to shut down channels to protect themselves without regard to the customer's convenience.

All scams are user issue. If user fall for the deception, its their mistake.
Banks are only the intermediary.
The only reason why people are blaming banks is coz they wan someone else to cover for their fallacy.
So if you kena virus/trojan you blame the ISP ?

I did cpf RSTU on 31st Aug which was a Sunday ard 3pm the money was in the same day, for your reference. Just one thing to note, if you empty UOB, that will be 150k? Latest bank cooling measures may not allow you to do so?

What if your credit card is being used fraudulently even though your card is in your drawer? You don't even know where and when the details were comprised. Is it still entirely your fault and you should bear all losses?

Let me make it simpler , your CC is like your house key. Civil safety is covered by the SPF.
If your house kena break in , you will go blame the police , because they did not go can catch every conceivable burgler to prevent your house break-in ?

its not like the bank purposely go and leak your card details . (That’s bad business)

your CC can change the credit limit to something u can bear the lost, heck it’s not even a MUST that everyone needs CC. They got force you to take CC ?

I don’t work in bank nor do I have bank shares .
It’s just mind boggling how sg people are so pampered that not matter what they think its always someone else’s fault.
The more pampered/shelters you are the more prone you are to the hard knocks in life.
If I’m in the scam farm, sg people of coz will be my 1st target .

Haha.

it is not customers that banks do this for. It is SPF, MAS etc demanding the banks do.

I think the card provisioning scam was definitely a bank Apple Pay implementation issue, especially those who used Android phones but somehow got fraudulent charges made through Apple Pay.

https://www.mas.gov.sg/news/media-releases/2025/joint-news-release-by-spf-csa-and-mas

MAS says that it requires the SMS OTP to be hijacked, but I suspect some scammers managed to bypass that.

Safest means to add is directly via bank app, followed by bank app otp. SMS OTP easiest to hijack. Also the best way to add should be to use bank app otp + the token pin to be sure + singpass face I'd.

Did you encounter the 24 hour hold period when doing the transfer?

AH, until now, the Money is still strucked in UOBOne account. First, my transaction limit was set low, today when I want to transfer and noticed that, and the new transaction limit will take effect only after12hrs.
And after that, based on your info, the Money still need to hold for 24 HRS?

New regulation acct more than 50k and transfer more than 50% put on hold for 1 day.. unless the amount u transfer is less than 50%. Not sure if this transfer setting apply to cpf? If you have not transferred before month end then better not to transfer now as it willnot earn interest for this month

You are right, it applied to CPF as well for some Bank.
Yesterday, I want transfer Money to CPF. for DBS, it went through, but for SCB, even the amount is less than 50K, the money was held, and it prompt me the transaction risk (Scam), when I called the Customer service hot line, and state it is transfer to CPF, and definitely not scam. the CSO still explain to me the risk and request me to bear the risk if transfer immediately. :ROFLMAO:
