Is it possible to sign up uob one account as a single and joint principal holder?

Each person can only maintain 1 UOB One account, whether singly or jointly.

So, you can’t have a single UOB One account and another joint UOB One account.

Terms & conditions clause 40.2 refers.

I have a question. My salary is charged to my UOB one account but the money is credited into my tx account. Is this normal or is my HR making a mistake?

Your HR credits to whatever account number u gave them. Of course u need to give them your one account number.

Well I do have a one account, and later opened a joint account at the branch with my fiancée which is also a one account. She also already had a one account beforehand.

So it possible somehow.

It was in 2017 however, not sure if the TnC changed in the meantime.

Rubbish, tnc allow joint acct, but u cannot be principal acct holder fot the joint acct. If uob find out u have more than one acct as principal holder, u risk losing your interest. I have joint acct not as principal holder.

Actually you are "buying" the gift

For example, one decide to participate in this UOB promo with $88,000 from 1st Jul 2019
1. SCB eSaver - assuming the promo rate remain unchanged, $88,000 for 8 months gets $1,114.66 interest (1.9% for 8 months)

2. UOB Promo - $88,000 top up enjoys promo rate of 1.45% for 2 months. Interest is $212.67. The int rate for the rest of the 6 months gets only 0.05% (~ $22). Plus gift $799. Total interest is $1,033.67

With the int from SCB eSaver, you can select the brand and model of vacuum cleaner you wish to purchase :)

How is the SCB esaver works?
1.9% is based on TOTAL INTEREST RATE ON ELIGIBLE INCREMENTAL BALANCE. I think the interest should be lesser than $1114.66

it's correct la, many people move in/out $$$ into diff eSaver. So every cent is considered incremental.

Yes I also noticed the clause. But then how do you explain the bank employee at the branch opening a new joint one account for us when both my gf and I already had a one account each?
Mistake? Beginner employee? Or just they don't care that much?

U obviously cannot read and interprete the tnc, 40.2 and 40.3 are exactly what I explained in my comments above. U can open join account but cannot be the principal account holder if u already own a single UOB account.

Whereas you interprete as no joint account is allowed - that's rubbish!

I don’t know. I don’t work at UOB.

Importantly, are you able to get UOB to pay you 2.44% pa for all 3 UOB One accounts?

No the joint account does not get bonus interest indeed. Not that we cared and we did not even try, we just wanted a joint account for common expenses, there is never much money inside. We get bonus interest on our respective single one accounts however.
