Get a supp card for your mother. HP number you put your own HP so that you receive SMS whenever she spend. Easier to track this way.

Alternative is you get a NTUC Giftcard which acts similar to NTUC voucher then pass the Giftcard to her to use at NTUC. Topup whenever it runs low.

No need to keep passing her your own card.

i feel like DBS Multiplier and Standard Chartered Bonus$saver are not so bad... but with all the interest rates plunging, it's hard to secure an interest

ya, should just get a guaranteed interest rate endowment plan! some endowment plans have very high flexibility, like singlife 2.5% (but not guaranteed) and elastiq 1.8% (guaranteed interest and can withdraw after 90 days!)

The singlife account is a savings account? Non guaranteed feels like it will be 0

for the elastiq what is it? Got a link to kua kua?

for elastiq, make sure u know what u r buying into, dont just be enticed with the "guarantee" & understand what SDIC PPF actually covers for it

from PPF coverage alone, I m more comfortable with SingLife that Elastiq (and I have both)

Singlife will pay out interest monthly. So the moment they drop interest, you can run fast. Anyway, the product just launched. It's not in their interest to drop the interest rate so soon, or they will shake investor confidence and people will run since there's no minimum period.

Normally, i also take in non-guaranteed interest for endowment, as NIL, but i think this one is worth exploring. Lots of things can change in 90 days. With this much uncertainty, I don't want my money stuck in any illiquid assets.

idk... for me from next month (new 3-mth cycle for me) I'm thinking of just using it to pay my monthly insurance + 4 $1 ice cream cone to meet 5 transactions for $500 per month.

don't intent to use cardup anymore 'cos the gain is only around $10 every 3 months after deducting the cardup fees... for all the trouble and not knowing when UOB will also block cardup or change MCC, etc... it's damn troublesome.

Insurance payment doesnt fall under the category of eligible spending isnt it

Direct insurance payment count to uob one account card spend for bonus interest, but does not count to credit card rebate.

Insurance payment via cardup/ipaymy count to both interest and rebate but incur fee.
