if it crosses months, the $8.50 will be considered for rebate in the month u spent it, but the following month, u will need to spend off the additional $8.50.

FYI refunded amt back to your card is not considered as eligible spending
Eventually you have to spend that remaining amt before/next credit billing cycle

I hold a uob one master debit card which is the atm card for my uob one joint account. I don't use the debit card function at all as I perform transfers on internet banking and then draw out from other bank accounts.

As my first 3 years waiver end on 1 Aug, there would be a $18 charge deducted directly to my bank account unless I perform 12 mastercard transactions per year.

I'm planning to go to the bank and ask to cancel the debit card and ask for an ordinary atm card instead

Before I do that, want to ask if is there any advantage of holding on to this debit card.

Thanks.

One Card Alternative

Asking the expert here.

With UOB One Card not counting tuition agencies as rebate amt, what are the next alternative for the tuition agencies spending i.e. 600+/mth?

not an expert but it looks like Amex true cashback might be possible candidate. at first was thinking of SC Unlimited but I think it'll fall under 8299 (Educational Services).

you might want to check out Maybank f&f card or HSBC EGA exclusions too.

Arrrgh, UOB One card got a refund transaction, as such, my One card GIRO is not triggered as the refunded amount is somehow counted as 'payment for last month's bill' as well. So I am not short of 1 GIRO payment.
Any way to 'trigger' a GIRO this month?
