Since UOB nerfed the interest anyway, Just put your money in money market funds.
The UOB interest offer close to or even higher returns than SGD money market funds with better liquidity. This is only good advise if the person does not have 150k to max out the 4% interest from UOB One

Hi there
I am first time applying for UOB one account and fettinf

Does applying for UOB one account comes automatically with the UOB one credit card?

Or I have to apply for the UOB credit card separately?

Another noob question.
Do I need to link the UOB one credit card to the UOB one account in UOB website to enjoy the bonus interest?
Or it’s automatically linked when I activate to use the UOB one credit card?

Appreciate some advice for a very latecomer.

Thanks much

This could have been asked before so please pardon me: when will the top-up of m $50k be locked in? When locked in, does it mean $50k will become ‘invisible’ and not reflected in the bank account?

Need to apply credit card separately, only debit card comes automatically. Once applied , no need link,

For the credit card, you have to apply separately. As for the card used to qualify for the bonus interest, you don't have to link it to your UOB One account; eligible card spending is tracked automatically.

Depending on when you registered for the promo:
  • If you registered from April 1, 2024, to April 30, 2024, earmarked by May 31, 2024.
  • If you registered from May 1, 2024, to May 31, 2024, earmarked by June 28, 2024.
  • If you registered from June 1, 2024, to June 29, 2024, earmarked by July 31, 2024.
When earmarked, the fund is deducted from the available balance, so it's essentially invisible, but it will still appear on the UOB One account details page under 'Current Balance'.

I paid my dental charges at polyclinic on healthhub using UOB One cc.
And yes, this is counted towards the $500 spending requirement.
it's been shared a few times that payment via healthhub will count towards the $500 spend. but not sure whether it counts only towards the bonus interest rates, or also the quarterly cashback.

just park there and UOB will earmark the amount based on your application. no action needed from you.

make sure the daily balance amount don't dip below March's ADB + amount you have pledged to be earmarked.
With 150k in Uob one account , assuming that we spend 500 and get the salary xfer and also earmarlking say 50k , what would be the projected returns on a conservative basis ?

Any pointers welcome !
